Night photograph of an outdoor devotional gathering in front of a small ornate temple shrine with a painted gopuram-style top and a deity image set in an arched niche. A fire burns on a raised platform in front of a framed portrait, with oil lamps and offerings. A large crowd of mostly seated devotees, many women in saris and children, sits on the ground watching. A woman in a purple sari with gold bangles sits near the front left, and a figure in white robes stands at the shrine doorway. Street lamps glow behind the scene.

A raised fire pit burns brightly at the centre with an oil lamp nearby. On the left, several white-clad men in dhotis stand, one with a bare upper body and saffron cloth. A seated figure in orange-brown clothing tends the fire, while a dark-haired figure in a red-brown garment kneels at right. Behind them are large floral garlands, a Ganesha-like murti with a crown, and a tall figure with a flowered headdress. Bright stage lights and white floral garlands frame the scene. No figure can be confidently identified as a person from appearance.2016-10-10November 04 20132013-11-04October 10 20162016-10-10November 04 20132013-11-04July 17 20132013-07-17
