The figure on the left wears a deep red-maroon robe with a yellow shawl, a long gold-beaded necklace, a rudraksha mala and flower garlands, with hands pressed together in greeting and a broad smile. The seated figure on the right wears an orange-saffron robe and is bald, seated calmly as a man in a white shirt bows at his feet. Behind them are several shaved-headed monks in orange robes with rudraksha malas, a man in a white shirt holds flower garlands at the left edge, and a man in pink shirt stands at right. Behind the thrones are printed banners with portraits and a lotus-goddess motif in pink and gold.2013-11-11A festive outdoor stage under a red and blue canopy with a decorative ornate umbrella overhead. A large banner behind shows a portrait of a smiling saffron-robed figure with a red tilak and deity illustrations of Lakshmi and Ganesha. Seated on red-and-silver thrones in the centre is a bald man in a saffron robe, hand raised to his chin. Beside him is a woman in red and gold with a garland, and to the right a man in white with an orange shawl sits with hands joined. Around them are monks in saffron and orange robes with rudraksha malas, and a man in a white shirt stands at right with hands in anjali. Flower garlands and a silver bowl rest on a red-draped table in the foreground. Roughly fifteen to twenty people are visible.2013-11-11Outdoor ceremony under a decorated tent with purple and yellow drapes and framed deity prints of Ganesha and Lakshmi above. A seated figure in orange robes sits on a red ornate chair, one hand raised, while a man in a white shirt bends forward to touch or honour his head. Around them, saffron-clad sannyasis and a man in a white dhoti wearing a yellow-and-pink shawl sit or stand, a bearded older man in white stands at right, and a woman in a red-bordered sari appears at the top right. A figure at far left wears an orange turban and a red-and-gold garland. A pink-and-gold cloth draped across the chair and a gilded staff add ceremonial detail.2013-11-11A photograph of a temple-hall ritual in which a figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with long swept-back hair and a long gold-bead necklace of ornamental strands, leans forward smiling to receive or bless a kneeling devotee in white. Behind him a golden throne-like seat is decorated with a large floral arrangement of yellow, orange, red and purple flowers, and a golden canopy with a tiled roof stands above. Several men in white dhotis and shirts crouch or stand around, one in a red-and-gold shawl, while two saffron-clad attendants in rudraksha malas stand at left, one holding a tray. The scene suggests darshan with a flower-decorated seat and temple setting.2011-12-20March 26 20082008-03-26October 11 20082008-10-11A candid photograph of a man in white clothes and glasses receiving a red shawl with gold motifs draped over his shoulders by a bearded man in saffron robes. Several men in white and light shirts stand around them, and a bald man in white dhoti stands behind on the right, with an orange cloth draped over a seat in the background. The setting is an indoor room with white walls. The saffron-robed man is the one doing the honouring, and no cues in his appearance establish identity, so he is described only by role.2011-12-08October 29 20082008-10-29November 11 20132013-11-11
