A dim temple hall with a dark stone floor. In the left foreground, a bare-chested man in an orange dhoti and orange turban with rudraksha mala stands barefoot. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts, some with red shawls, stand in a line behind him. On the right, a man in a flowing orange robe gestures with his hand, and another person in orange stands at the right edge. A brightly painted deity panel with goddess imagery hangs on the back wall, and oil lamps hang above it.

A procession walks through a temple corridor with ornate stone pillars and painted gopurams visible behind. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes wears a white jasmine garland and a gold pendant, smiling as he holds the hand of a bare-chested man in a white and green dhoti with a gold necklace. Behind them, a bald priest in orange clothing wears a rudraksha mala, and to the right a man in white kurta wears a long dark rudraksha mala. Another orange-robed attendant stands at the left edge, and a few onlookers and a uniformed officer appear in the background.

A photograph of a ceremonial moment indoors in front of a projection screen. A central figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, with long dark hair, wears a long white and red flower garland and gold bangles, and gestures with his right hand as he speaks. Beside him an elderly bearded man with a white horizontal tilak on his forehead, wearing orange robes and a long beaded rudraksha-style mala, holds his hands together in front of him. To the left, a man in a white shirt and a younger man in an orange cloth stand by, and at right a man with a red tilak and orange-and-yellow cloth observes. A boy in a red cloth stands in the background. Swamiji candidate in the central figure: probable, based on the long hair, orange turban, saffron robes and garland cues.

Indoor photograph of a religious ceremony in a pink-walled room with a framed deity print on the wall and a brass oil lamp at right. A man with long, swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, a dark rudraksha mala and an orange saffron wrap stands at left with hands folded. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes reaches out to clasp the hands of a bare-chested priest wearing a red shawl with gold border and white dhoti, who stands before brass vessels and a bell. A bearded man in orange robes sits at right, and a yellow-saree-clad woman is partly visible at far left. Several figures in the room are visible, and the scene appears to be a formal blessing or ordination exchange.

A photograph of a crowded indoor corridor with white walls and a framed picture with flower garlands at upper left. In the centre, a bearded sadhu in orange robes and an orange turban with rudraksha malas talks animatedly. To the right, a man in an ornate red-brown robe with gold trim, a turban and layered gold beaded necklaces smiles broadly. Beside him stands a man in white dhoti with a brown shawl and gold chains. At left, a bald older man in orange robes and a woman in a teal patterned top look on. Several other people are visible in the background.

Night photograph of a procession at a Kumbh Mela camp with bright floodlights and green-and-white tent walls behind. In the centre, a man in an orange-red turban and saffron robe wears a long brown-beaded rudraksha-style mala and walks forward with a tilak on his forehead. Beside him, a bearded man in orange robes and a second saffron-clad sadhu with a white beard and glasses walk with the group. A man in a white t-shirt with a purple lanyard, and a man in white dhoti-style clothing with a shawl, stand nearby. A young man in a white shirt is at the right edge, and a drummer in orange-and-black garments appears at the far left. Several figures are partially visible in the crowd of attendants.

A photograph of an indoor hall where an older man in a red and gold-bordered shawl stands with hands folded in greeting, beside a bare-chested man wearing a red dhoti, a red kumkum mark, a white forehead marking and a dark rudraksha-style bead necklace. Behind, a man in orange clothing and an orange turban with a garland of yellow and red flowers faces away, his hand on the shawled man's shoulder. Other people in white and orange stand in the background, one holding a microphone. A partially visible man in a checked shirt stands at the left edge. The bare-chested man is a candidate for the page's subject, but his appearance cues are not sufficient to confirm this, so he is described by role only.

A photograph of people walking through a temple corridor with carved stone pillars. In the centre, a man wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a long garland of white flowers, pink blossoms and green leaves, and a heavy gold necklace; he has a red bindi and a tilak on his forehead. To his left, a man in a white dhoti with a gold border walks with bare chest. Behind and beside them, men in white shirts with rudraksha malas, one in an orange cloth, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers walk close by. The centre figure has long hair? No: the central man has short hair and the left figure has swept-back hair. Carved, ornately sculpted pillars and a painted wall frame the scene. a person candidate: the centre man wears an orange garment, a flower garland and ornate gold necklace, but his appearance cues are not distinctive enough, so the identity is uncertain.
