October 17 20102010-10-17Outdoor photograph of a crowd of devotees standing along a white metal railing on a raised red-painted wall, looking toward the left under a pale sky. In the foreground a man with glasses and grey hair wears a striped pastel shirt in pink, yellow, blue and white, one arm extended along the red wall. Behind him, men and women in shirts and kurtas, including a man in white kurta and a woman in a red sari, watch the scene. A young man in an orange t-shirt stands at lower right. No saffron-clad or crowned figure with distinctive a person cues is visible, so the presence of a person is uncertain.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17A large crowd of devotees stands in an outdoor courtyard, most with palms pressed together in namaskar, gazing upward toward something out of frame. Women wear saris and salwar in red, orange, yellow, teal, magenta and green, with ornate necklaces and kumkum on their foreheads. A white-haired woman in a white sari with a red border stands at centre-front holding a woven bag. At right, a man in a light blue shirt and cream trousers, wearing a garland, stands with hands folded. Green leafy garlands hang from poles at top, and a decorated yellow-and-red canopy is visible at upper left. Visible people number over twenty.2016-12-14Outdoor crowd photograph at an ashram-style courtyard with a pink-washed building behind. A large group of devotees stands closely packed, many women in white, cream, saffron and orange saris and salwar, plus men in white shirts and dhotis, some wearing rudraksha malas. In the foreground centre, a seated figure in an orange robe and orange head wrap, with long dark hair, sits on a white chair with hands folded, looking forward; this appearance matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of a saffron robe, orange head wrap and long hair. A man in an orange shawl stands at the upper left. Several people wear name badges. Sandals lie on the dirt ground in front.2006-12-20A crowd of devotees and spectators stands behind a silver metal railing along a red-brick embankment, watching an event off-frame. Many people lean on the rail, some in white and cream clothes, others in saffron-coloured shirts, colourful salwar kameez and checked shirts. Men in white and blue shirts stand on higher steps behind them, and a uniformed security guard in khaki stands among the upper group. Behind them are orange-red buildings with green roofs and palm trees. At the lower right, the tops of decorated colourful ceremonial baskets or chariot-style forms are visible. Several people are partially visible. A person in a yellow and white shawl stands near the centre of the rail line.2010-10-17Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered among stone sculptures in a garden setting. A shaved-headed man in rust-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala stands at centre, one arm raised and pointing, addressing the group. Around him, young men and women in white and light clothing, a woman in white with a head covering, and a man in white holding an orange cloth to his face listen closely. Behind them are weathered stone statues on a grassy lawn.2015-08-23A dense crowd of devotees stands packed together, many with palms pressed in namaskar or hands folded in prayer. Older men wear white shirts and dhotis, women wear saris in green, pink, blue and cream, and several children stand in front, including a girl in a white top with hands joined. Some foreheads bear vibhuti or kumkum markings. A wooden barrier or wooden structure is visible in the lower foreground.2006-10-19October 17 20102010-10-17Outdoors under a pale sky and leafy trees, a smiling person in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands at centre, wearing a long marigold and white flower garland with a rudraksha mala around the neck and a rudraksha bracelet on the arm, raising one hand in greeting. Around them, several men in casual clothes press close: a man in a purple shirt at left, a man in a yellow-and-grey striped polo, a young man in a brown checked shirt at right, and a bald man in an orange cloth on a phone. A green flag and a pole are visible behind.2015-05-01Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered before a whitewashed wall and an open doorway at a Tamil Nadu temple-style street event. In the foreground a man in a bright yellow-orange shirt and dark trousers stands with hands clasped, next to a seated elderly man in white and a woman in an orange sari. A man in a white shirt holds his hands together in prayer, and a woman in a blue sari with bangles stands with palms pressed together. Other women in saris (maroon-patterned, blue, green) and a boy in an orange-checked shirt stand nearby. A man in a white shirt holds a camera to his eye. Behind them, many more people fill the dim doorway. A blurred figure in saffron-orange cloth occupies the right edge of the frame. Banana leaves appear beside the doorway.2006-10-23December 16 20172017-12-16
