July 02 20082008-07-02A photograph of an entrance doorway with a pink-walled room and red floor tiles. Two people in orange robes stand in the open wooden double doors. The taller figure on the right wears an orange robe and a long white and orange flower garland with red blossoms, and has a red tilak on the forehead. Behind him, a second person in an orange robe and orange-banded dhoti stands partly obscured near a metal grille. Above the doorway hangs a swag of marigolds and pink and white flowers. A doormat lies on the floor. Photo credit text is watermarked at the lower right.2010-01-19August 11 20092009-08-11A photograph taken indoors in a white-walled room with a dark wooden door frame and a decorative black-and-white border along the top. A barefoot man in a flowing saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala steps through the open double doorway toward the camera, smiling with his hands near his waist. Long dark hair falls past his shoulders. Two clay or terracotta figurines stand on either side of the door, one in plain tan and one in a red-and-white sari. Several other people in white and orange clothing stand in the corridor beyond. A long wooden ceiling and a dark polished floor are visible.2006-11-09A photograph taken inside a plain white-walled room with a wooden cupboard on the right. In the centre, a man in an orange saffron robe with a white and red flower garland over his shoulders steps through an open wooden doorway, his arm extended toward a folded white cloth on a carved wooden screen. A second figure in orange stands behind him in the doorway area. On the left, a carved wooden partition is draped with white and yellow flower garlands, and a framed picture hangs on the wall above a shrine-like table decorated with marigolds and small brass ornaments. The man's long dark hair is swept back, and he wears a saffron robe and a garland; the candidate appearance is consistent with a person, with long swept-back hair, saffron robe and garland as cues, so the figure is marked as in_person with uncertainty.2010-01-10A photograph of two sannyasis in saffron-orange robes stepping through an open wooden double door into a pink-walled room with red tiled floor. The foremost man, smiling, wears a white and orange flower garland and a rudraksha mala and walks forward. A second orange-robed man follows behind him in the doorway. A small white mat lies on the floor. Through the door, a corridor has a garland of marigolds and pink flowers draped above the opening. A wooden cabinet with glass panels stands to the left.2010-01-19A photograph of a bare-walled white interior room with a pale marble floor, a small wooden stool holding a white item, and white curtains beside a tall wooden door. A man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a large pink-and-white garland around his neck, stands barefoot in the open doorway, smiling. Another man in white clothing stands partly behind him in the doorway. Swamiji (probable): the standing figure in saffron robe with long swept-back hair and a garland matches the candidate cues, and he is physically present, so the appearance-based label applies. Green leaves are visible through the outer doorway.2010-02-17A photograph of an interior room with bare grey walls and a concrete floor, lit by daylight from an open doorway. A tall figure with long dark hair, wearing a flowing orange-saffron robe, walks through the room in silhouette, facing left. Behind in the doorway, two more people in orange robes stand outside against green trees, one with a shaved head. A draped green cloth covers a piece of furniture on the right, and an electrical box and a small appliance sit on the left wall. The scene resembles a sannyasi walking through a newly built ashram room with two companions.2009-08-03A photograph of an interior doorway with green carpet runners on a tiled floor and white walls decorated with a pink and green floral painted pillar at left. Two saffron-robed figures walk through the open brown double doors, one with hands pressed together in namaskar and wearing a rudraksha mala, with another orange-clad figure behind them. A man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange shawl stands at left, hands folded in greeting and barefoot. A red scalloped valance hangs above the doorway beneath a chandelier. Two people are visible inside the doorway and one at left, so the scene shows three to four people.2008-07-01A man in a long saffron-orange robe, draped over one shoulder, with long dark swept-back hair, stands smiling in a tall carved wooden doorway. Beside him an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti walks, with another man in white behind, all moving through an interior hall with a patterned tiled floor and a large ornate chandelier overhead. A hand from the left edge gestures toward the doorway.2006-11-10A barefoot figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala around the neck walks out through a pair of reddish-brown wooden doors into a whitewashed hall with a dark floor. Behind, two people in white and orange clothing stand in the doorway. Two painted wooden figures flank the frame: a seated figure at left and a standing female figure in a red sari at right.2006-11-10November 09 20062006-11-09
