A photograph of a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes draped over one shoulder, wearing a dense multi-strand rudraksha mala, with a red bindi on his forehead, smiling as he walks up a narrow stone stairway beside a whitewashed wall spattered with orange marks. Behind him, other people in orange clothing follow along the steps, with one woman partly visible at the upper right. A date stamp reading 17 6 2004 runs down the left edge, and a pedia source text is printed vertically over the image

A seated man in an orange saffron wrap sits against a weathered reddish-brown wall with peeling paint and scratched marks. He has long, swept-back black hair, a red bindi on his forehead, and a multi-strand gold ceremonial necklace interspersed with brown rudraksha beads. A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red bindi sits cross-legged on a smooth pale stone slab inside a dim stone chamber, wearing orange robes draped over his shoulder and body with an orange shawl, his feet bare and his hand resting on his knee. Behind him, two men in white dhoti-style clothing and orange shawls stand watching; one holds a dark wooden staff with a brass handle and wears a rudraksha mala, and the other has gold bangles. A wooden ladder leans against the stone wall at upper right. The scene appears to be a temple sanctum consecration setting.
