In the foreground, three shaved-headed priests in orange and maroon robes sit cross-legged, each wearing rudraksha malas and holding small brass oil lamps (deepa) aloft. A row of young boys in orange and saffron robes sit behind them, some with white headbands, and small brass lamps, cups and plates are set on the floor. The setting suggests a puja or aarti performed by sannyasi priests during a ceremony. No individual is confidently identified as a person from appearance, so no identity claim is made.2014-10-06September 22 20142014-09-22September 18 20132013-09-18November 22 20132013-11-22 +1 copiesA photograph of a seated group of young monks in saffron and orange robes, many with white and ochre tilak markings on their foreheads and bodies, holding small brass oil lamps and lit wicks during a ritual. Several wear rudraksha malas. Behind them, more seated devotees in orange and maroon clothing are visible, along with brass plates and offerings on the floor.
