A long-haired figure in a red shawl and red-and-white flower garland holds a lit oil lamp aloft before a golden arched shrine. Behind the shrine a green cloth backdrop frames two decorated deity murti wearing red and white garlands and ornate crowns. Orange walls surround the space. The murti are dressed in red and orange with red and white flower garlands, sitting before a green silk backdrop framed by an ornate gold arch. Other people stand at the left edge in red, white and saffron clothing, one holding folded hands. An orange-walled hall with potted plants and a hanging red cable forms the setting, and a brass lamp rests in front of the altar.2012-04-23A photograph inside a temple hall with orange walls and a banana plant. A man with long dark hair, a red-and-gold shawl over bare shoulders, red dhoti and a red-white garland waves a lit flame toward two deity murti seated under gold arches with green drapes and red cloth, one crowned with a red and gold headdress and the other with a tall crown. Two men in orange robes and rudraksha malas stand at left, and a young boy in red stands at far left. A small brown offering platform with a metal top sits in the foreground, with scattered petals on the floor. The scene shows a puja or aarti ritual. A man with long hair in a red-and-gold shawl is visibly distinctive; the page names a person, but the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity.2012-04-23Photo 11738526A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a standing priest in an orange-saffron robe with a gold border and a white and maroon flower garland, holding a lit flame in one hand and a handbell in the other. Behind him are two golden murtis of deities seated on a raised platform, adorned with jewelled necklaces, crowns, and sacred garlands, framed by yellow marigold decorations and red-and-white flower strings. A small golden deity figure and a brass kalasha sit at the base of the platform. The setting suggests an aarti or puja.2007-01-01A photograph of an aarti ritual before a richly adorned deity murti decorated with dense garlands of red roses, purple and yellow flowers, and green foliage. A smiling person with long black hair, a tilak on the forehead, a pink and white flower garland, a gold chain and a brown garment with gold border holds a silver aarti lamp with a bright flame toward the murti, which wears a crown, jewelled necklaces and an orange-red sari. Another person in a saffron-orange cloth stands behind, and a ceremonial staff with flowers rises at right. Smoke drifts in a warmly lit temple hall with a carved pillar at left.2013-04-21December 20 20112011-12-20
