Night photograph of a procession on a dirt road lined with red-and-white painted kerbs and banana plants hung with garlands. A central figure with long dark hair, a red tilak on the forehead, a multi-strand gold and bead necklace and bangles, wearing an orange robe with a saffron shawl, walks smiling while a bald priest beside him in orange robes holds a brass vessel. Behind, a young man in an orange robe carries a brass tray of flowers and white garlands, and another orange-robed attendant follows. Figures in white clothes stand near the banana plants, and a row of sandbags and small lamps lies behind the barrier. The central figure's presentation resembles a person, walking in procession.2011-12-20December 20 20112011-12-20December 20 20112011-12-20April 24 20122012-04-24Night procession on a dirt path with saffron-clad devotees and priests, many with shaved heads and white tilak markings. Beside him, a bare-chested man in orange garments with a white headband and mala beads walks barefoot. Other devotees in orange robes and men in white dhotis follow, one holding a bundle of yellow cloth and another a round blue-and-white decorated object. Several figures appear partly in shadow, and a uniformed arm is visible at the right edge. The procession suggests a temple ritual walk.2012-05-21April 24 20122012-04-24A night procession on a dirt path.
