Night-time photograph of a temple courtyard lit for Kartheekai Deepam. A figure in a white dhoti and white shawl is seated with bowed head on an orange-painted stepped platform on the right, a garland draped over them. Behind them, a group of people in white clothes stands near a red-lit canopy strung with small lights. On the left, a tall red metal frame holds a multicoloured decorated pillar with a white bird motif and yellow base, and red-and-white striped low walls run along the ground. Palm trees and dark sky stand beyond the structure.

A dim temple hall viewed down a central aisle toward a lit inner shrine with an orange glow and a small deity murti. Several people in white clothes sit on the polished floor near the middle, and a man in white stands in the foreground at left with his back to the camera. On the right, an older man with grey hair and a white shirt and dhoti stands beside a pillar. Tall pillars wrapped in colourful patterned cloth with orange fringes line the hall, and a large hanging bell hangs near the right side. Evening lamps and ceiling lights give a soft glow. The scene suggests an evening arati or satsang in a temple.

Many people in white dhotis and white shirts, and women in saris of orange, red and white, stand and walk around the open ground. A man in an orange-and-yellow garment and a man in a white T-shirt with a pendant stand near the left. The scene looks like a gathering or celebration at the entrance.

A photograph inside a covered pavilion with a metal-frame roof, decorated with green mango-leaf festoons and white flower sprays hanging from above. Painted cylindrical pillars in red, blue and orange with floral motifs line the hall. A long red carpet runs down the centre between metal railings hung with marigold and pink flower garlands. Many people stand along both sides in white clothes, several women in saris, some holding bags, with figures in the far background near an open entrance. Devotees stand in orderly queues toward a distant ritual area.

Interior of a temple hall under a corrugated roof, decorated with hanging white ribbons, banana leaves and garlands of red and yellow flowers along the central aisle. At the far end, a golden shrine arch frames deity murti with a figure in white standing before it. Rows of seated devotees in white and orange sit on both sides, while men in white dhotis stand at the front and a large golden cobra hood sits near the left side. Painted tall pillars with blue, red and yellow motifs flank the hall.

Night photograph of a festive street entrance decorated for a celebration. A large arch hung with string lights and red, orange and blue bunting spans the road, flanked by tall banana plants. A banner on the left shows a portrait of a saffron-robed figure with a turban-like head covering beside small portraits. Several people in white dhotis and saris stand along the road; a man in a white shirt and dark trousers stands on the right, and two people in yellow shawls walk toward the arch in the centre. A rangoli design is drawn on the road, and an overhead street lamp lights the scene.

Night photograph of an outdoor yajna enclosure lit by fluorescent tube lights strung along bamboo poles, with banana-leaf and coconut-frond garlands and palm fronds hanging overhead and tall decorated pillars at the edges. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand around the sandy ground, and one man in white bends low near the white stone fire pits in the lower right. A figure in a saffron-orange cloth stands in the left foreground with bare upper body. A woman in a white sari with a gold border and a dark mala stands in the centre-right. Stone fire pits and a sandy floor indicate a fire-offering ritual setting. Approximately eight to ten people are visible.

A crowded indoor evening gathering with many devotees in white shirts and dhotis and women in yellow and dark saris, pressed together in a room with a red-orange wall, string lights overhead and green banana-leaf decorations hanging at the edges. A decorated ceremonial item with red and white fabric stands near the right wall. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person, and no throne or central figure is visible.
