2001 - Glimpses From Various Programs2001-01-01Dense crowd seated on the stone floor of a temple courtyard during a ritual. In the foreground, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a red-and-yellow waist cloth tends an offering tray holding bananas, fruit and a decorated pot. Beside him, a woman in an orange sari sits among devotees in white, yellow, purple and pink clothes. At right, a shirtless priest sits before a flower-decorated murti altar with a brass oil lamp. Behind, a tiered altar is hung with marigold and floral garlands, and a rainbow-striped cloth hangs from a pillar. Many people in the background are standing, and some children sit in front, watching the proceedings.2012-04-05February 11 20082008-02-11July 20 20172017-07-20A large group of men seated cross-legged on an orange cloth at night, bare-chested, wearing white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas, many with white forehead markings, eyes closed in meditation or chanting. Several have hands folded in anjali, and one in front holds his hands together while another reads or gestures. Behind them stand more devotees and illuminated ritual decorations, with a golden ornate structure visible at the upper right. No individual is singled out as a person; the attendees appear to be devotees and priests in ritual dress.2017-09-26 +1 copiesDecember 15 20162016-12-15July 25 20172017-07-25 +1 copiesA photograph of a homa and puja at a home.
