A wooden home shrine cabinet against a cream wall holds a printed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" of a seated man in orange robes, with a rudraksha-style beaded necklace, a red bindi and a raised hand, set before a banyan tree trunk. The portrait is garlanded with white flower strands and red roses, with an orange silk cloth draped at its side. Red roses lie on the shrine ledge, with a small brass lamp, a brass bell, a brass oil lamp and a kalasha-like cup on a metal tray in front, and a tissue box, a bottle and a matchbox nearby on the floor.2009-08-20A wooden home shrine with an arched pediment and carved pillars holds a cluttered altar of framed prints, brass and silver vessels, small deity figurines, a brass lamp, a pink-and-white paper rosette fan and a red-brown cloth with a rudraksha-style mala draped across it. Several framed pictures of deities and saints line the back, and a framed portrait of a bearded older man in white sits at the right. Two small elephant figures rest on the pediment corners, and a blue seated Buddha-like figure sits at the left. No people are visible.A small blue-walled shrine room with a sandy-textured floor and a wooden canopied altar. A large framed portrait in the centre shows a long-haired man in orange clothing with a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace, garlanded with white and orange flowers; this is a depiction on a print, so the candidate is labelled Swamiji (probable) by appearance cues. Smaller framed deity pictures flank the altar, and white cloth seats lie on the floor. In front are a brass plate with offerings, a tray of fresh bananas, oranges and mangoes, and bowls of sweets and fruit, indicating a puja offering setting. No people are physically present.2014-07-04 +1 copiesA home shrine photographed indoors against a white wall. Above it hangs a large gold-framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala, seated cross-legged before a banyan trunk, labelled "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" in print. The portrait is garlanded with orange marigolds. Below, a red and gold-bordered altar ledge holds a dark bronze deity statue on the left and a dark bronze deity on the right, brass oil lamps, a framed deity picture, two framed foot-impression prints, a framed photo of a seated figure, a covered table with a brass puja plate, a kalasha pot, and a steel bowl on a red mat. No people are physically present. +2 copiesPhotograph of an indoor shrine alcove tiled in pale blue and white. Central seated figure in orange-saffron robes with a red-orange head covering and a flower garland sits on a white-and-red cushioned seat; it appears to be a statue or murti rather than a living person. Above, a framed print shows three goddess figures in red and gold. Surrounding walls hold framed devotional pictures and a small lit oil lamp. Brass plates of flower petals and offerings sit on the shrine ledges, a brass tray of flowers and rose petals rests in the foreground, and a brass pouring vessel stands at left. No people are visible.2010-09-11November 27 20122012-11-27Interior shrine setting with framed photographs on a wooden shelf in front of an orange and white curtained window. The central framed photo shows a seated man in saffron robes with long dark hair, a white flower garland, and a raised hand, set against tree roots; this is a printed portrait, not a physical person. A blue sign labelled "Tiruvannamalai" sits below it. In front are a small saffron-draped figure and a red-draped deity murti decorated with flowers, silver ritual vessels, a bell, and a brass pot on a tray. Upper framed prints show a deity pair under an arch with garlands.
