A bald man in white ritual dress, a white dhoti with a gold border and an unstitched white shawl, wears a gold necklace and a red-thread wrist band as he holds a silver aarti plate with burning flames toward two deity murtis. The central deity murti wears an orange cloth, a jewelled crown and many garlands and necklaces; the figure on the right wears a silver crown and a dark robe with yellow and maroon garlands. The murtis stand before a red drape with a gold-bordered platform, flowers and lights behind. Smoke rises from the lamp. The man appears to be a priest performing aarti, not a person candidate.

A priest in white dhoti and white shawl with a cream-and-gold turban stands at left, holding a lit oil lamp in his right hand toward an ornate gilded arch. Behind him, two decorated deity murtis stand, adorned with garlands of red and white flowers, jewelled necklaces and crowns. Yellow marigold garlands drape the front, and small silver kalasha vessels with leaves sit on a blue and purple draped altar. Two people's heads are visible in the lower foreground. This appears to be an evening puja or aarti at a temple shrine.

A night outdoor ritual on a raised platform under an orange and white canopy. A young man in white dhoti and shawl, with a garland and gold-beaded necklace, performs aarti with a multi-wick oil lamp, flames flaring. Two decorated deity murtis stand on a gold pedestal, one crowned and holding a staff, the other crowned and draped in orange, both wrapped in white and red flower garlands. Brass vessels and a yellow-cloth-covered offering sit before them, with a kalasha-like tray and a red-tinted water basin in front. A bystander in a shirt watches; others stand behind a railing. Smoke drifts across the scene.

A photograph of a priest in white dhoti and shawl with a gold border, bare-chested with a rudraksha mala, performing aarti with a lit oil lamp before two deity murtis draped in orange cloth and garlanded with white jasmine and red flowers. The murtis wear ornate silver crowns and necklaces. Behind them stand golden peetha-style platforms, golden canopies and a large banner with Tamil-script text and a printed portrait. No person in the scene is identified as a person; the central figure is a priest in white.

A photograph of a temple shrine during a puja. A woman in white garments stands at center holding a brass lamp with a flame, with long dark hair and a gold armlet. Beside her, a man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a gold necklace holds a brass vessel, and another man in white with gold chains stands at left holding a silver plate. Before them is a shrine with large garlands of yellow, red and purple flowers, two white-clad figures with crowns and jewelry in the background, a white-draped altar, brass lamps, a kalasha pot and a silver-tinted lingam with a small crown. Stone pillars frame the scene.

A temple puja scene under an arched golden niche. A priest in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a shaved head and a beaded necklace, stands at left holding a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward the shrine, smoke rising. Inside the niche, two large deity murtis sit side by side, adorned with red and gold garments, gold crowns, necklaces and garlands of marigolds and purple flowers. In front, a white-clad altar cloth and brass lamps surround a white sculpted figure with an orange head-cloth and a garland, shown as a statue, not a living person. Brass vessels, kalasha-style pots and offering plates sit on the stone platform. A red wall and foliage appear outside.
