Outdoor procession at dusk along a path beside a terracotta-coloured wall and green foliage. A richly decorated palanquin with a multicoloured canopy and a deity murti inside is carried forward. Men in white dhotis and shirts lead, one playing a long horn-like wind instrument, others carrying drums, including a barrel drum held at the chest by a man in a white shirt. Ornate embroidered banners on poles and a tall gold-topped standard with a gold disc are carried, and a woman in white and an orange-shirted man walk among the crowd. Visible people number roughly 20 or more.

Two drummers in white march with drums slung at their sides. Behind them, a decorated palanquin with a golden canopy and floral garlands is carried forward. No figure is identified as a person.

Outdoor festival procession with musicians leading a crowd past banana plants and tall painted parasols. Drummers in white dhotis and cream shirts beat dhol drums with long wooden sticks, and a bare-chested musician in a white shirt blows a long brass horn. Behind them a shaved-headed figure in orange-red robes walks barefoot with a garlanded man, and a man in a grey-blue shirt with a red shawl plays a drum. Two decorated umbrellas and a tall trident-topped staff rise above the crowd, which includes men in white and yellow sashes. Cream-coloured tents and a sound system stand in the background.

A procession walks along a sandy path toward a South Indian temple gopuram in warm early-morning light. Around him, men in white dhoti play drums and a horn, and a woman in a white sari with a gold border carries a decorated orange and gold umbrella-style standard. Other white-clad participants and a uniformed police officer stand at the right edge, with palm trees behind the temple.

A dusk procession on a dirt path moves toward a decorated canopy structure with colourful festoons and a small golden finial. Men in white dhotis and kurtas lead the group, with two drummers in front playing double-headed drums (one red-and-gold, one with a light-coloured wrapped face) and a man in the centre playing a long brass horn. Several men wear saffron/orange shawls and sashes, and a man on the right wears a red-and-white beaded mala. Flags on tall poles and a string of small lights line the route, with a street lamp overhead. The canopy and the procession suggest a ratha/palanquin procession.

A photograph of a procession on a dirt road through dry grassland under an overcast sky. Many men in white dhotis and shirts walk in a long line. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and orange dhoti with an orange shawl and a tilak on his forehead plays a small hand instrument, while beside him a man in a green shirt beats a double-headed drum. On the right a man in white plays a long wind instrument and another carries a drum. Behind them a canopy in red, orange and green fabric with orange flags is carried on poles, and a palanquin-style canopy is visible. Several people in white and yellow walk behind.

In the foreground, several men play drums: the central drummer wears a white dhoti and a red-and-white patterned shawl, and another drummer on the right wears a white dhoti with a green-and-gold sash. A man in a white dhoti and orange shawl walks at the left, and a row of drummers and devotees in white and orange follows behind. Ornate decorated palanquins or ratha canopies in red, orange and gold are visible in the background above the crowd. Women in teal and orange saris stand at the right edge of the path. No readable name or portrait of a person is visible in the scene.

A photograph of a rural dirt-road procession moving toward the viewer. Men in white dhotis and white shirts walk in front, including a drummer in white carrying a large two-headed drum with a yellow-and-green wrapped drum body. Behind them a decorated palanquin or ratha canopy with colourful bunting, yellow and red ornamental discs and a blue cloth top is carried by people; a figure in orange robes walks near it. A large crowd in white follows along the path, with parked yellow auto-rickshaws at left, a thatched shed and a water tank in the background under an overcast sky.

A procession on a dirt path through palm and tree foliage, led by drummers and a horn player in white dhotis and shirts. Behind them a red and multicoloured canopy or umbrella-style parasol is carried over a group of monks and devotees in saffron and orange robes. A white building with a green corrugated roof stands at right. Several drummers play large barrel drums with coloured straps, and a man in a red shirt plays a brass horn. A taller figure in an orange robe walks at the centre of the group, but no appearance-based cues are strong enough to identify a person candidate.
