July 06 20102010-07-06A seated man in an orange-saffron robe sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne (peetha) in a stone-pillared temple hall, bare-footed, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and short hair. Before him stands a small gold-rimmed brass tray set with offerings on a gold lotus-shaped base. Behind him, a deity murti with a gold crown, yellow and purple dress and garlands of marigold and orange flowers stands on a stone platform beside a second adorned figure, with brass oil lamps (deepas) flanking the shrine. Orange curtains hang at the sides and a red-painted staircase and iron gate are visible at right. The seated man is a visible candidate for a person but his appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm, so the presentation is noted as uncertain.2010-08-07July 08 20102010-07-08 +1 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gilded throne with red cushions in front of a stone shrine. Behind him stands a deity murti pair with gold crowns, garlanded in yellow and red flowers, with brass oil lamps on pedestals flanking the shrine. Behind him, two large deity murtis stand under a gold arched frame against red drapes; the left figure wears an orange turban and holds a trident-like staff, the right wears a blue sari and jewellery, both draped in red and yellow marigold garlands. A golden kalasha and gold-plated lamp stands flank the altar, with fruit on a side table. The seated man has long dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, and shows some features in common with a person, though appearance alone is not conclusive. Orange cloth covers the platform floor.2010-07-01A photograph of a man seated in an orange armchair before a temple shrine, wearing saffron robes, a long rudraksha mala and bare feet resting on an orange footstool. He has long dark hair and holds his hands in his lap. Behind him, a stone shrine is decorated with a dense garland of yellow, orange, pink and green flowers, with two gilded deity murtis in red and orange garments and crowns, and gold oil lamps stand on both sides. A low stone platform before the seat holds fruit on an orange-draped table, and flowers are arranged along the base. The Swamiji candidate shows several cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robes and a rudraksha mala.2010-07-27July 20 20102010-07-20July 06 20102010-07-06 +1 copiesA man with long dark hair and an orange saffron robe with a garland of white and gold beads sits smiling on an orange-upholstered armchair with a cushioned footstool at the bottom edge of the frame. Behind him stands a golden deity murti of a standing figure holding a trident and a kalasha-like object, next to a consort figure in a pink and green sari, decorated with yellow and red marigold garlands, and a central gilded shivalinga-style form wrapped in garlands. Brass oil lamps flank the shrine, a red-clad figure sits near the base, and palm leaves hang on the left. The man is an appearance-based probable Swamiji candidate: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a ceremonial bead garland, seated in a throne-like chair before the shrine.2010-07-24A seated person in flowing orange saffron robes and a dark rudraksha mala sits on an orange cushioned chair on a raised platform, eyes lowered, hands resting on the armrests, with bare feet on an orange footstool. Behind is an ornate golden arched shrine holding a deity murti pair with a red and orange turban-crowned figure and a companion in blue, both adorned with garlands of yellow and red flowers, flanked by brass lamps and a kalasha-like central vessel. A red curtain and orange drapes frame the shrine. The page indicates the event is an evening darshan, but the person's appearance does not establish identity, so no candidate is named. The seated person has a red forehead mark and a rudraksha mala.2010-07-02 +1 copiesJuly 08 20102010-07-08July 08 20102010-07-08
