A seated man in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate gilded throne with red cushions, wearing a white and red flower garland and a red tilak on his forehead. He raises his right hand in blessing over the head of a man in a grey kurta who bows forward with his hands pressed on the seated man's arm. Brass oil lamps and orange drapes stand behind the throne. Swamiji (probable) is seated in saffron robes with long swept-back hair and a garland, receiving a devotee's pranam.2010-08-01July 14 20142014-07-14November 20 20112011-11-20 +1 copiesJuly 14 20142014-07-14August 15 20092009-08-15November 25 20112011-11-25A photograph of a darshan moment. A man with long swept-back hair, a small red tilak on his forehead, a gold necklace of large ornaments and a red-orange shawl sits on a red cushioned seat and reaches out to touch the forehead of a man in a white shirt and red-orange cloth wrap. The recipient raises both hands in a gesture of reverence and wears a rudraksha bracelet. Behind them stands a polished silver trishul with a red bead, and a green palm plant and gold ornaments fill the background. Probable Swamiji is the seated figure with the long hair, gold necklace and orange-red shawl, giving blessing to the devotee.2014-08-01A seated figure with shoulder-length dark hair, a white vibhuti tripundra on the forehead, a red-orange cloth wrap and a long gold-beaded necklace touches the forehead of a young man in a white shirt and red-orange patterned shawl. The seated figure holds an ornate silver trident-like staff, and beside them a coiled dark rope-like staff and a large gold vessel rest against red drapes. The scene looks like a blessing or initiation moment with a trident staff.2014-07-26A photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes with a gold ceremonial necklace and a bare upper torso, smiling as he places his right hand on the forehead of a short-haired young man in white kurta and orange shawl. Behind them stand a tall silver-capped staff, gold-coloured ornamental lion-head and throne elements, and golden draped curtains. A peacock-feather fan appears at the left edge. Two physical people are visible.2014-07-14July 01 20092009-07-01A photograph of a long-haired man with a white forehead mark and a rust-red cloth draped over his shoulders, wearing a multi-strand gold bead necklace, pressing his hand on the head of a short-haired young man in a white t-shirt and red-patterned shawl. The young man's palms are pressed together in devotion. Behind them stands a gold deity murti and a silver staff, with a peacock-feather fan in the foreground and red drapes in the background. The setting suggests a blessing or initiation moment. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man wears a rudraksha-style gold bead necklace and a ritual cloth, with long swept hair; his identity is an appearance-based label only.2014-07-21December 28 20062006-12-28
