A photograph of a temple ritual in an ornately decorated shrine. Two large murti statues of a deity couple are seated on a throne-like altar, the male figure in a teal and orange-pink outfit holding a trident, the female figure in a red and gold dress with a gold necklace. Both are heavily garlanded with red, yellow and white flower garlands. In front, a standing man in a gold-embroidered sherwani with a cream turban holds a lit oil lamp aloft in a brass vessel, while a golden kalasha-like vessel stands beside a garlanded decorated pillar. Dim lighting and a plaster ceiling frame the scene, with a few partially visible people at the lower right edge.2009-06-09Festive ritual photograph beside a decorated deity pair in a temple hall.
