A man in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange head wrap, seated at left, holds a ladle over the fire and speaks into a microphone on a stand. Beside him, seated devotees in white ritual clothes press their palms together or hold incense sticks, and a brass vessel of ghee and small oil lamps sit near the pit. Behind them, a large brass lamp stand and a dark-framed metal artwork hang on the wall, with rows of seated devotees in white and a woman in yellow sari at right. Ritual performed with a fire pit and offerings, consistent with a homa. Appearance-based cues: saffron robe and orange head wrap, but not enough for a confident identity; the figure is labelled only as the officiating priest leading the homa.2004-07-02March 22 20082008-03-22January 02 20082008-01-02March 22 20082008-03-22March 23 20082008-03-23A photograph of an indoor session at an ashram hall with bamboo pole decorations and hanging copper pots along the back wall.
