A bookshop interior with wall racks displaying rows of booklets and DVD cases, many with blue and white covers showing portraits of a saffron-robed figure wearing a red-and-orange turban and ochre clothing. A woman in a cream sari with a gold border reaches to a rack and handles an item. In the foreground, an older woman with grey hair in a braid wears a maroon sari with gold trim, and another woman in an orange top stands beside her. A man in a white shirt stands in the background near shelves of packaged goods. Several orange cloth-wrapped bundles hang from the rack.2014-08-24A photograph of a long table stacked with DVDs, booklets and glossy posters, many showing a figure in saffron or orange robes. A man in a rust-orange sannyasi wrap stands at the table, head bowed, looking down at the merchandise. Behind him, people in white traditional clothes with orange-bordered cloths stand in a line beside a rope barrier, and a child in a white headband is visible at the lower edge. A plastic chair and a yellow bag sit at the upper left. The room is dimly lit with a pale floor.2009-08-06A busy book and DVD sales stall under an orange-painted covered walkway. Shelves on the left are stacked with books and framed portraits of a saffron-robed sannyasi with long hair; the portraits are printed images, not people. A woman in a white sari with a yellow border and a rudraksha mala stands in the foreground looking toward the shelves. Beside her, a woman in a white sari holds a mobile phone. Several men in white shirts with rudraksha malas stand and bend over tables stacked with books and DVDs labelled with the Bhagavad Gita as known by Nithyananda and the word Nithyananda. A man in a brown t-shirt with a beaded mala stands at the far right edge, looking down at the tables. The scene reads as a devotee bookstall at an ashram event.2010-08-19Indoor photo of a bookshop or gallery with a cream block wall and orange-trimmed display racks holding many framed prints and CD/DVD-style cases, most showing saffron-robed figures with white or orange turbans and rudraksha malas. On the right, a person in an orange-saffron robe with a long rudraksha mala stands and looks toward two visitors at left: an older person with grey hair in a white garment and a woman with dark hair in a white top with a shoulder bag, seen from behind. Several more racks of covers stretch along the back wall. The cover images are depictions, not physical people; the physical people count is three.2006-07-25Interior of a shop selling DVDs and books on shelves, with many yellow-spined DVD cases showing portraits of a man in white or saffron head coverings and a robed figure. Two women stand at right: one in a white sari with a blue floral border holds a long dark rudraksha mala, and another in a white sari with a green blouse and white flowers in her hair looks down. A man in a white shirt and trousers with a pendant stands in the background near a doorway. Framed devotional prints of deities hang on the wall above the doorway, and paper garlands hang from the ceiling.Interior of a small shop-like gallery with a corrugated roof, cream block walls and lattice windows, showing aisles of display racks holding framed photographs, booklets and cards. In the centre, a woman in an orange sari stands smiling beside the racks, and behind her an elderly man with white hair and a white beard, bare-chested with a white dhoti and a sacred thread, stands near a second woman in a pale grey sari photographing the displays. On the left, a life-size seated statue in orange robes and an orange head wrap holds an open blue book. Strings of tinsel and a garland of white flowers hang near the statue. The red floor and the orange clothing dominate the scene. The woman in orange is not clearly identifiable as a specific individual from appearance cues alone.2006-07-25September 20 20062006-09-20A retail display of books and DVD cases arranged on tiered glass-fronted shelves in a shop. Covers show portrait photographs of a smiling man in a yellow or orange turban and robes, and of a woman with dark hair and a red bindi, alongside landscape and floral images. Many spines and covers carry Tamil-script titles, and some show a white-bearded elder in a blue jacket. No people are physically present in the scene.2007-02-05August 06 20092009-08-06August 06 20092009-08-06A photograph inside a small shop with white block walls and a metal roof, lined with wall racks and shelves of framed pictures and CD cases showing portraits of a long-haired figure in orange and white clothing. In the foreground a bare-backed person in a white dhoti with a green border stands with their back to the camera. To the right, a person in an orange robe with a long dark rudraksha mala pauses and points at a rack, with a white flower arrangement beside them. The shelves hold many framed prints and disc cases.2006-07-25A photograph of visitors at an exhibition display. A large backdrop shows a smiling man with short dark hair and an orange-red head wrap, with a red tilak on his forehead; the image is shown beside a wall covered in small dark-framed booklets with a cover titled Inner Awakening. In the foreground, a woman in an orange-red sari with a dark braid holds a booklet, while a woman in a white sari with a lanyard gestures beside her. Other visitors, including a man in a light shirt and a woman in a green-bordered sari with glasses, look at the display. Several people hold brochures or wear name badges. Two figures wear white clothes and a woman has a yellow flower in her hair.2010-02-22
