Most wear white or cream clothing, with some in saffron, orange, red and green saris and salwar kameez. Several women wear red or orange shawls and rudraksha or bead necklaces; one woman in a white head covering sits near the front with hands folded. A chain-link fence and a pale water surface are behind them. No one is clearly identifiable as a person in this crowd, and the focus is on the seated devotees in prayer.2013-11-04Large outdoor ritual on red stone ghat steps with many seated participants in white and saffron clothing, many bare-chested men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas, and women in white, orange, green and red saris and shawls. Rows of small brass kalashas and oil lamps sit on the steps before them. In the foreground a bare-chested man in a maroon dhoti stands facing the seated congregation, apparently leading the rite. Behind them a stone wall and a canopy structure appear, and a purple logo sits in the upper left.2016-12-02October 17 20102010-10-17
