A group of about fourteen people stands on a dirt road in front of a golden ornate ratha chariot with a garlanded portrait. The portrait shows a man in a white turban and shawl, framed by a flower garland, set in an ornate gold arch above the vehicle. Two men in white dhotis stand at the front left, one in a white shirt and one bare-chested with a white cloth. Women in saris of cream, red, blue and yellow hold brass plates of offerings, and several girls and children stand among them. Palm trees and green foliage fill the background, with a stack of cut wood at right.A photograph of devotees with hands pressed in anjali mudra before an ornate golden ratha-style shrine on a road. Standing in front are several devotees: a woman in a white sari with a brown blouse, a woman in a blue-and-brown salwar, a woman in a cream sari holding a brass plate of bananas and flowers, a man in a white shirt and beige trousers wearing a rudraksha-style necklace, and a man in a white shirt holding a flower garland. Two framed portraits are mounted on the chariot, with a man in a white turban and a man in a dark suit visible. Several more people in white and light shirts stand around the group. Prominent visible cues on the portraits are the white turban and the bearded face of the older figure.December 23 20082008-12-23September 28-29 2006 - Kodikkan Ratha YatraDecember 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor procession scene beside a dirt road in a village setting. A priest in saffron-orange dhoti with orange shawl and beaded necklace stands at a decorated chariot holding a flat tray, facing a deity murti heavily adorned with yellow, red and white flower garlands and malas. Behind him a yellow cloth backdrop is painted with peacocks and birds, and banana plants and bunches of green bananas stand to the left. A man in a white shirt stands beside the priest, and a bare-chested man in a pink shirt with saffron-and-white cloth raises hands near two long wooden poles. Devotees crowd the foreground, several with hands folded in prayer, including a man with long dreadlocks and an orange-clad figure at left. Festive offerings lie on the ground near the chariot.2018-01-18Outdoor scene at a dusty village ground beside a tree-lined road, with a large ornate golden ratha (chariot) on the right carrying deity murtis under a decorated canopy, and a row of framed posters along its base. Several dozen people in white dhotis and white shirts, some in saris with orange and green tones, stand and sit in a semicircle; a woman in an orange blouse and green skirt stands at centre-right facing the chariot while others sit on mats near puja offerings. A thatched shelter and a white van and red bus appear behind the crowd. The page indicates a Ratha Yatra procession for deities of Sri Nithyanandeshwara and Nithyanandeshwari, but no a person figure is clearly distinguishable from appearance in this frame.2006-10-25
