Photo 11724282A figure seated on a red-draped throne is framed by a flower arch of yellow marigolds, red roses and white garlands with blue and white accents. The seated figure wears a red robe, a tall ornate crown with a crescent, layered gold and silver necklaces, a rudraksha-style mala, gold armlets and bangles, and holds a staff in one hand. A standing attendant in saffron-orange cloth with rudraksha beads, bare-shouldered, reaches toward the figure with an offering vessel. The scene is set between ornate gold-carved pillars with a patterned backdrop. The seated figure's facial appearance is not distinguishable enough to confirm an identity, so the a person candidate is not established.2018-12-31January 04 20152015-01-04Photograph of a ritual at a golden-framed shrine. In the foreground, a man seen from behind wears a dark red turban and a saffron-and-orange cloth wrap, with white ash marks on his arm and a beaded bracelet. He raises his right arm to pour from a small metal vessel over a deity murti. The murti is adorned with garlands of yellow marigolds, white flowers and red roses, a jewelled silver crown with a decorative halo, and gold ornaments. Flanking figures wear similar garlands and jewellery. The background is gold-patterned fabric with ornate gold arch carvings. The scene suggests an abhishekam offering. No persons identifiable by name are shown.2015-11-18November 18 20152015-11-18April 30 20122012-04-30November 18 20152015-11-18A priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, seen from behind with bare upper back and rudraksha-style beaded cord, performs aarti with oil lamps before a richly decorated seated figure. The seated figure wears a red robe, a red and gold crown, layered gold necklaces and ornaments, and is framed by garlands of yellow marigolds and red-and-white flower strands. Ornately carved golden pillars with lion motifs flank the shrine, and a patterned gold backdrop surrounds the scene. The seated figure is a decorated murti in ceremonial dress rather than a clearly identifiable person, so the appearance-based label does not apply.2018-12-31A figure in an orange saffron-coloured garment with a bare shoulder stands at left, reaching up with one hand to place a crown or headdress on a metallic deity murti. The murti has a golden face, ornate jewelled necklaces, and is dressed in green and gold cloth, decorated with white jasmine garlands and red and yellow flower garlands. Behind it hangs an orange silk backdrop beneath an ornate gold arch, with a pink lotus offering near the figure's hand. The person's face is not visible, so no identification is made.2012-04-30July 31 20152015-07-31A photograph of a ritual before a richly garlanded deity murti in a temple-like setting with gold ornamental carved panels behind it.
