A large dark black stone Shivalingam, wrapped in a garland of red, orange and yellow marigolds with white flowers, is being bathed on an outdoor platform. On a raised white metal scaffold platform beside it, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a rudraksha-style necklace holds a ritual conch-shaped vessel, while other priests in orange robes sit nearby. Below, rows of seated devotees in white clothing watch the abhishekam ritual in a courtyard with a sandstone building behind.2017-05-29July 24 20172017-07-24November 24 20162016-11-24February 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesA large dark grey Shiva lingam stands on a stone platform, draped with a garland of red, yellow and white flowers and with scattered petals at its base. Several men in saffron-orange robes climb a metal staircase toward the platform; one man with long dark hair and a bare chest, wearing a white dhoti, sits on the platform performing a ritual gesture with his hands beside the lingam. Other saffron-clad men stand on the stairs and a figure in white crouches at the lower left. Trees and a plain beige wall with wooden doors form the background under an overcast sky.2017-06-26November 07 20162016-11-07
