Two young shaven-headed sannyasi-style men in saffron-orange cloth with red sashes and rudraksha malas flank the group, and a shaven-headed man in white dhoti with gold border walks beside them. A procession outdoors in front of a South Indian temple gopuram-style entrance with painted pillars. Several men in saffron-orange robes walk forward; the foreground figure on the right wears a saffron-and-gold-bordered garment, long rudraksha and white bead malas, a large gold pendant, a red forehead mark and a headband. Beside him a man in an orange robe wears a gold necklace and carries a staff. Behind them a man in white dhoti and gold-bordered shawl walks with an orange-clad attendant. A red-and-white parasol is held above the group. Other devotees in white dhotis and white saris stand along the path, and a child is visible at left. Ground shows white kolam-style marks.

A barefoot procession moves through a dim temple corridor at night. A central man wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl with gold trim, a long gold-beaded necklace, gold armbands, and a red tilak on his forehead; he appears to be the focus of the group. Around him, men in saffron robes wear rudraksha malas, and a man in a white kurta carries a tall ceremonial staff topped with an ornament. Others in white dhotis and light shirts walk alongside, some with rudraksha beads and tilak marks, while a man in a teal shirt with a mala follows at right. The stone floor and pillars suggest a temple interior.

Photo of a crowded doorway inside a home decorated with a green mango-leaf torana and a framed deity picture. In the centre, a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair wears a rust-red sleeveless garment with a multi-strand rudraksha-style mala and raises one hand in greeting. Around him, shaved-headed sannyasis in saffron-orange robes with beaded necklaces, including one with a white tilak on the forehead, and white-clad devotees press close. A man in a white shirt stands in the doorway behind them. A shaved-headed sannyasi on the right holds a red cloth and is bare-chested with beaded necklaces. The scene looks like a welcoming visit during a house-visit programme.

Night procession at a temple at Karthikai Deepam time, with a line of devotees walking along a dirt path. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and multiple rudraksha-style beaded malas and a ceremonial gold necklace wears a saffron-orange garment and walks with hands folded; he is a probable Swamiji by appearance, presented as a candidate in person. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes and a gold chain walks with hands at his sides. Behind them, people in white dhotis and yellow or orange shawls carry on, a drummer in white plays a drum at left, and a deity murti sits under a colourful umbrella and canopy in the background, with a palanquin-like structure visible.

A night procession on a wet street lined with people and small shops. Several saffron-robed sannyasis walk in a group, most wearing red-maroon garments with gold borders, rudraksha malas and white tripundra markings on their foreheads. In the centre, an elderly man in a plain orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a dark bead necklace and a white forehead band, is supported by an attendant in orange on his arm. A devotee in yellow walks to the right edge. Behind them, a tree, a wall with signboards and a temple-like spire can be seen. Whether the centre figure is a person cannot be determined from appearance alone, so the identity is not asserted.
