A central figure in long wavy black hair, an orange robe, a large gold necklace and a gold crown-like headpiece stands at the centre. A devotee in white dhoti and orange shawl is prostrating at his feet. Around them, men in white kurtas and dhotis with orange shawls stand watching; one man in a red shirt carries an orange shoulder bag, and another holds a tall staff with a trident-like top. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes with long swept-back dark hair sits on a chair beside a table holding a brass tray of flower petals and offerings, extending a hand toward a kneeling man in a blue shirt who presses his palms together in devotion. Around them stand several men in white dhotis and orange shawls, one holding a small object, and an older man in white at right with his palms joined. Other people are attendants and devotees.2011-01-16Outdoor photo at dusk of a group of men in devotional dress standing on a pale sandy path beside a garden. In the centre a young man with short dark hair wears a long orange saffron wrap over a red undershirt and smiles while looking down. To the left, men in white dhoti and shirt with orange shawls and rudraksha malas stand with hands folded, one bald man among them. On the right a man in white with an orange shawl and mala gestures toward the ground. A small stone gateway and a parked silver car sit behind the group under tall trees, and a figure lies prostrate at the bottom edge.2007-12-07December 15 20092009-12-15A prostrate devotee lies flat on the stone floor of an open pavilion, arms outstretched, head turned to one side, on a leopard-print and dark mat. The prone figure wears saffron-orange garments with gold trim, a gold ornament on the head, and dark hair in a bun. Around them stand a crowd of about twenty people in saffron and white: sannyasis in orange robes and rudraksha malas, men in white dhotis and shawls, and women in orange and blue saris, several with palms pressed together in namaskar. A man holds a bunch of flowers and another stands with a phone raised. Pillars and a sunlit roof edge frame the scene, a traditional ritual of reverence performed before a gathering.2012-09-12December 23 20072007-12-23Outdoor photo of a procession-like gathering on bare dirt beside whitewashed buildings and trees. A long-haired man in an orange-saffron robe and a gold garland stands centre, with a golden staff and trident-topped rod held by attendants nearby. Around him stand men and women in white dhotis, saris and kurtas with orange-saffron shawls, some holding ceremonial staffs and a long pole. A man in white kneels and bows low on the ground before the central figure in a reverent gesture. A woman with light blond hair stands at left in white and orange. Some attendants wear red and orange. Ceremonial bunting hangs at the top edge.2007-12-23April 01 20082008-04-01
