A woman in the foreground on the left wears a lavender sari and a dark beaded necklace and holds plant material. Behind them, a low concrete building with windows, green shrubs, and trees stand under an open sky. The scene shows ashram-style communal farm labour.2006-09-05A woman in a white sari with a thin yellow border bends forward over dry leaves scattered on bare red earth beneath a tree, lighting or tending a small smoke wisp at ground level. Another woman in a cream sari with orange and yellow floral print and an orange blouse stands beside her, watching. Most wear white or pale saris and some wear pink, green, and orange ones. Tall coconut palms stand at right and a thatched-roof open shelter with wooden posts sits at left. Several people are visible, the group is bent low to the ground, and a few stand farther back among the palms.2006-09-05A photograph of a group of women in white clothing walking along a sandy dirt path lined with palm and coconut trees. Several women carry long bundles of dried palm fronds over their shoulders, and some wear orange-saffron shawls draped over white garments. Behind them, piles of dried palm fronds and a partly built palm-frond structure stand on the ground. A woman on the right wears a white outfit and a pendant necklace. No one in the group is identifiable as a person from the visible cues, so the a person field is set to none.2007-05-04Outdoor ashram work scene under large banyan trees with exposed aerial roots. Two women in the foreground dig reddish-brown earth with long-handled tools: the left woman wears an olive-green top and pale green patterned trousers with gold bangles, and the right woman wears bright orange robes with a red wrist thread and a cross-body bag. A yellow bucket sits on the ground. Behind them, several people in orange and white clothing stand or work in the soil, and a man in a white cap and white clothes watches at right. Brick fragments and a concrete edge lie in the dirt.2016-09-11 +1 copiesFebruary 23 20082008-02-23
