A man in white dhoti and shirt, with a rudraksha mala, sits cross-legged and holds up a lit oil lamp toward a framed portrait of a seated, long-haired saint in saffron robes beneath a banyan tree. The portrait is garlanded with white, yellow and red flowers and labelled in print. Two devotees sit beside him with palms pressed together, and a bowl of yellow flower petals lies nearby. Brass lamps, a small silver Ganesha figure, a brass pot, fruit and bananas are arranged on the floor-cloth in front of a large mound of marigolds and rose petals. A smaller framed image of a saffron-clad figure hangs on the wall above, and window bars are at left.2006-04-08A seated figure in an orange saffron robe with long swept-back dark hair and a red bindi sits on an orange upholstered armchair with his palms pressed together, his bare feet being washed in a silver tray. Kneeling devotees in white clothes with yellow shawls and beaded necklaces perform the pada puja, one holding a small ritual vessel and incense sticks. Fruit, flowers and a red-trimmed box sit beside the chair, and a green mat covers the floor. A wall fan is visible behind them.2010-02-14A photograph inside a bare brick-walled room with a concrete floor. A smiling man with a shaved head wears saffron-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala, seated on a cushioned wooden chair. Two seated men are at left, one in a blue shirt and one in a white shirt, and a man in a pink shirt bows with his head down before the seated figure. Behind them on the wall are framed portraits and a small altar with white flowers, a garland, a brass lamp and a framed picture. A mint-green stool holds a decorated white-and-silver pot. The seated figure's appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person but not distinctive enough to confirm, so the identity is uncertain.2001-04-14July 25 20052005-07-25A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange turban sits in a pink-upholstered armchair with eyes closed, wearing a multicolour flower garland and a rudraksha mala.
