He wears a white vertical tilak on his forehead and a rudraksha mala, and his shaved-back hair is tied up. Behind the lingam is an ornate golden arch and a grey stone wall, with small stones and a dark oval stone placed at the base. The dim lighting suggests a shrine interior, where he appears to be performing abhishekam on the lingam.Kailasa Paramparagatha Surya Vamsa Panchanadikulam SarvajnapeethamA man in an orange-saffron cloth draped over his bare chest and a dark rudraksha mala around his neck pours yellow liquid from a large brass kalasha onto two dark stone Nandi-style bull sculptures in a plain, dimly lit room with peeling walls and a wooden-framed window. The liquid runs down the stone figures and pools on the base. A stone pillar stands at the left and rough wooden poles rest on the floor at right.A priest in an orange-red dhoti and shawl with gold-bordered edges and a beaded gold-toned mala pours liquid from a brass vessel over a small gilded deity murti standing on a square base. Behind him, a second man in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a red border stands at a white marble stone figure. A black stone yoni-shaped pedestal and gilded figures are visible at right, and a string of light bulbs hangs above. This appears to be an abhishekam ritual on a murti. The pouring priest's face is turned down toward the offering and his clothing is orange-red, without distinctive a person cues such as long hair or crown, so the a person candidate is uncertain.2011-03-03 +1 copiesPhoto 11698728 +1 copiesNovember 28 2022 sripuram2022-11-28October 31 20162016-10-31Photograph of an abhishekam at an outdoor shrine.
