A photograph of a ritual in a richly decorated shrine room with gold-embossed panels behind. A seated man in a maroon-red turban with pearl-and-gold ornaments, a white-and-pink flower garland, orange-red bangles and a maroon-red robe sits on a leopard-print cushioned throne, extending his hands to offer a red fruit or object. Opposite him a bare-chested priest with white sacred ash on his shoulders and arms, rudraksha beads and a red-and-white waist cloth receives it. Brass bells and a brass oil lamp hang or stand in the background, with a gold lion-shaped figure beside the throne. In the lower right corner are trays of red apples and a hand of another attendant.2017-06-25A photograph of a seated figure in a rust-red robe and red turban with a crescent and jewelled ornament, wearing a white and pink flower garland and orange-beaded bangles, smiling and pressing his right hand to the forehead of a kneeling man. The kneeling man has a rudraksha mala, a bare upper body with white sacred ash markings, and a white cloth over his shoulder. Behind them a golden ornate backdrop, a leopard-print cushioned seat, a brass bell and a brass oil lamp hang at the upper right, and a brass kalasha-like vessel sits near the seat. In the lower right, hands hold a wooden tray with a red apple.2017-06-25June 21 20172017-06-21 +1 copiesA seated man in a deep red-maroon robe with a pink-and-white flower garland and layered gold necklaces, with white and red vertical tilak on his forehead and orange bands on his wrists, extends his right hand to touch the head of a bare-chested young devotee kneeling before him. The devotee wears a maroon-and-gold turban-like cloth, white sacred ash marks on the chest and arms, a red sacred thread, and a white dhoti with gold border. The seated figure holds a wooden tray of yellow mangoes, with another hand offering from the lower left. Behind them are a golden lion statue, brass bells, a brass oil lamp, a gold ornamental backdrop with a deity relief, and a leopard-print seat. This appears to be a blessing or pada puja-style ritual, with a person seated and giving blessings; the seated man wears a deep red robe with flower garland, gold chains and ornate gold pendant, the cues matching the a person description.2017-07-07 +1 copiesA seated man in a rust-red robe, wearing long pink-and-white flower garlands, multiple gold necklaces including a large gold pendant, and orange arm bands, sits on a leopard-print cushioned seat in front of a gold-embossed throne back. He smiles broadly while extending his arm to take a green fruit from a bare-chested priest wearing white dhoti, rudraksha mala beads and white and orange tripundra markings on his forehead and body. Behind them hang brass bells and a brass oil lamp with lit wicks against a black backdrop. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has long swept-back hair, an ornate gold pendant and ceremonial garlands, consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji. The priest offers a fruit in a traditional puja setting.2017-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 07 20172017-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 05 20172017-07-05June 12 20142014-06-12July 17 20162016-07-17June 14 20142014-06-14February 06 20142014-02-06June 21 20152015-06-21
