A photograph of a seated man on a red velvet throne with ornate gold carvings, wearing an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulders and a long brown-beaded mala around his neck, with a white vertical tilak on his forehead and long dark hair. He smiles and gazes toward a man in a white kurta with an orange-red shawl, who stands before him with palms pressed together in greeting. Behind them stand several women in pink, white and orange saris, and brass oil lamps are visible on a shelf at the back of a red-walled hall. A microphone stand and a white fan unit sit nearby.2016-04-28A photograph of a seated sannyasi on an ornate gold throne with a large golden sunburst-style backrest, leopard-print upholstered armrests, and a deep red curtain behind. The seated figure wears a rust-orange saffron shawl draped over bare shoulders, a white vibhuti horizontal mark and red kumkum bindi on the forehead, and long dark hair, smiling warmly. In the foreground a bald man in a white shirt with a saffron-orange cloth over his shoulder is seen from behind, leaning toward the seated figure as if receiving blessings or darshan. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), with the seated figure's long hair, saffron shawl and throne as qualifying cues.2017-09-20November `4 2015 +1 copiesSeptember 06 20142014-09-06A seated man in a saffron-and-maroon garment with a gold-bead mala and a white tilak on his forehead places his hands on the head of a kneeling man in a white shirt, who holds his palms together in anjali mudra. Behind them stand ornate golden lamp stands and a carved wooden screen with lattice patterns, and a woman in white with a rudraksha mala sits at the right edge. The setting resembles a satsang or blessing scene with red cushions in the foreground. The seated figure's appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person, but the face and presentation are not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so the role is described as a seated blessing giver.2015-08-23May 14 20142014-05-14A seated man in a rust-red turban with a jewelled brooch, rust-red robe, white and multicoloured garland, gold armbands and bangles smiles and extends a hand to a kneeling devotee in a white shirt and white dhoti, who holds up cupped hands. The seated man sits on a red zebra-striped cushioned throne against an ornate gold throne back, with a gold lion-head ornament beside him. Behind them, a woman in an orange sari and a rudraksha mala stands among garlands and hanging fabrics. Partially visible at left, a shaved-headed man with a white tilak sits near a gold ritual vessel. The setting suggests a darshan-style ceremony with garlanded offerings and gold decor.2014-06-12October 01 20172017-10-01A seated man in a saffron-and-red dhoti with a gold-toned shawl and a heavy rudraksha mala is raising his right hand in blessing over a young boy in a white shirt who kneels before him. The man wears a white vertical forehead mark and a red and gold bracelet and is seated on a red cushioned throne. Behind them stand ornate gold-toned temple walls with lattice panels, brass oil lamps and a gold-toned deity murti. A woman in white with a rust-coloured shawl and beaded necklace sits at the right edge. The boy holds a folded paper in his hand. Cues match a person by his saffron-and-red clothing, ornate gold necklace and rudraksha mala, seated as the one giving darshan in the temple setting.2015-08-23A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a gold bead necklace reaches forward to touch the forehead of an elderly woman in a white top with an orange shawl, who bows with palms pressed together. Behind him stands a golden throne with a carved lion-head armrest, a cobra-entwined staff topped with a gold finial, and a peacock-feather fan at left, against deep red draped curtains. The scene reads as a blessing given from a throne.2014-07-25May 02 20162016-05-02October 01 20172017-10-01
