A photograph of a ritual blessing at an indoor event. A person in a rust-red garment with a large pink rose garland sits at left, extending a hand to touch the forehead of a young boy in a yellow t-shirt, glasses and beaded mala necklaces. The boy has a name badge on his shirt. The figure holds a tall silver staff and sits beside a golden vessel. Behind them, several young people in white kurtas and orange-red stoles stand watching, and a woman with a vibhuti mark sits nearby. The scene suggests a satsang blessing; the presenter's identity is not established by appearance alone.2014-05-11May 11 20142014-05-11A seated man in a red-brown dhoti-style wrap and shawl, bare-chested, wears a large garland of pink flowers and green leaves and a white-and-red tilak on his forehead. He rests his right hand on the head of a small boy in orange clothes with a rudraksha mala, who sits on the floor in front of him. A silver trident stands upright beside them, and gold-painted lion-like armrests flank the red-upholstered seats. Behind them, a woman in white with an orange shawl and two people in orange robes stand near a white backdrop. A banner with temple imagery is visible at left. The man is an appearance-based candidate for the teacher, shown with a long swept-back hairstyle, pink flower garland and ceremonial gold-toned seating, but the appearance is not conclusive. This appears to be a blessing moment, a sign of an ashram or satsang gathering.2014-05-11September 29 20132013-09-29May 10 20142014-05-10A photograph of a seated man on a red velvet throne with a gold-carved armrest, wearing a tiger-striped garment, a thick gold-and-gold-beaded waist belt, a ceremonial necklace and a multi-coloured garland of white, pink, red and green flowers, with a white tilak on his forehead. He reaches out and holds a small tray of offerings toward a young boy in a white outfit who stands at right, bending forward to accept it. Behind them a woman in an orange-red shawl and a white sari-style garment watches, and a woman in a white dress and another in an orange top stand nearby with a crowd in orange robes in the background. A yellow fluffy mat lies on the floor. The seated man is a person, depicted as the person being honoured; the appearance cues are the garland, the tiger-striped clothing and the ornate throne, and the role is a seated figure giving blessings to a child.2012-12-16October 12 20142014-10-12May 11 20142014-05-11May 03 20142014-05-03May 13 20142014-05-13A seated man with long dark hair and an orange-brown robe, wearing a long rudraksha mala, reaches out to touch the forehead of a young blond boy in a white t-shirt who wears a red and rudraksha mala and presses his palms together. Behind them a man in white dhoti with gold border, rudraksha mala and sandalwood tilak smiles, and devotees in white and orange stand in the background. Bright red cushions and a flower garland decorate the dais.2013-07-07May 28 20132013-05-28
