April 20 20142014-04-20A shaved-headed man in glasses and an orange saffron robe stands with eyes lowered while a woman in a rust-red headwrap with a gold ornament and red bead necklace places her hand on his head. Another man in an orange robe and a dark-clothed person stand behind, and a bearded man in a white shirt is visible at right. The setting is an indoor hall with red curtains and bookshelves; a silver ceremonial horn is at the left edge. The gesture appears to be a blessing or pada-puja style ritual. Appearance cues for the central man are limited, so his identity is uncertain; he is described by role only.2014-04-20A photo from a Nithya Satsang event. A woman in a rust-red wrap with a red turban and gold-disc ornaments, wearing a rudraksha mala and a leopard-print lower garment, stands behind and raises her arm to place her hand on the head of a bald man in glasses and a saffron-orange robe with a folded shawl. He has his hands pressed together at his chest in reverence. Behind them, women in white and blue saris, a woman in orange with a rudraksha mala, and a person holding papers stand watching. Other devotees in white and light clothing stand close behind, some with hands folded, and a man in an orange top is at the right edge. The orange-clad figure has long hair in a bun and appears to be a person by appearance, with a turban, saffron robe and gold-bead ornaments.2011-12-10A seated figure in a red turban, red garment and heavy gold necklace and armlets places his right hand on the bald head of a kneeling man in a saffron-orange robe with rudraksha beads. The kneeling man wears glasses, a tilak mark on his forehead and prayer-style hands. A gold throne with ornate carving stands at left, with red rose petals and flowers nearby. Behind them, white-clad devotees wear rudraksha malas, and a silver staff rises in the centre. The seated figure appears to be a person, identified by the red turban, gold ornaments and seated place of honour alongside his distinctive adornments, while the kneeling man is a devotee receiving blessing.2015-07-01Photograph of two saffron-robed sadhus greeting each other closely at a crowded tented event with red fabric and bright lights. On the left, a smiling man in an orange-brown turban and matching shawl, with a long rudraksha-style beaded garland, presses his palms together in greeting.
