A long-haired figure in a saffron-orange wrap with gold armlets stands at the centre, receiving attention from a man in a light blue striped shirt and a man in a white shirt holding a camera. Several shaven-headed men in orange robes and multi-strand gold bead necklaces surround them, one holding a small gold ritual vessel. The figure centre is a person by appearance cues (long swept hair, saffron wrap, gold ornaments), shown in person. Around 20 people visible in total.2011-12-20December 20 20112011-12-20December 20 20112011-12-20December 20 20112011-12-20A woman in a maroon-red sari with a matching red turban and a garland of multicolored flowers smiles while raising her hand in greeting beside a silver kalasha topped with a yellow cloth and flower garlands. Around her, shaven-headed priests in orange and saffron robes with rudraksha malas stand near her; one priest in orange holds the silver pot. Other people in white ritual clothes, orange saris and red-and-gold robes stand behind, with ceremonial umbrellas and poles at the upper left. The setting is outdoors under trees.2013-12-27December 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor photo at a South Indian temple courtyard with a gopuram tower and a covered colonnade. A smiling man in the centre wears a flowing orange robe over a red top, a gold pendant and a long garland of beads, with a red tilak on his forehead and long swept-back hair; he has an appearance-based candidate profile for a person with distinctive saffron clothing, long hair, a garland and a gold pendant. To the left, a bearded sadhu in orange holds a paper and wears a mala. A white-clad man stands at the left edge, and an elder in pink kurta greets someone at right. A woman in an orange sari stands in the right foreground, and several white-clad devotees and onlookers fill the background. A banner over the entrance reads Arunachaleswarar temple.2009-08-06December 20 20112011-12-20December 08 20112011-12-08January 08 20102010-01-08 +1 copies
