August 17 20102010-08-17Two-panel photo collage of a temple-like ritual space with a wooden crate shrine. In the top panel, a figure in long orange robes with long dark hair reaches toward a white seated statue inside a wooden niche, while a man in white dhoti and an orange shawl stands nearby and a camera operator is visible at left. A lower panel shows the same orange-robed figure extending a hand with flower petals toward the white seated figure in a wooden shrine box, with a bowl of flowers held by a white-clad attendant at right and an orange-and-gold banner at top. The orange-robed figure shows distinctive long hair and orange robes, but the appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm identity, so the figure is described by role as a devotee performing the offering.2010-08-11September 07 20102010-09-07July 17 20102010-07-17 +1 copiesPhoto 116805902012-03-29November 08 20112011-11-08July 06 20102010-07-06A bald man in an orange saffron robe and a rudraksha mala stands at left, holding a metal kalasha with flowers and leaves on its rim and tilting it over a white marble bust of a smiling figure wearing a white turban and white robes. The bust has a raised right hand in abhaya gesture and sits on a stone pedestal heaped with white, yellow and pink flowers and green leaves. Behind them is a decorated backdrop with a gilded deity figure in red and gold, yellow and red marigold garlands, and a brass lamp. A second person in white is partly visible at left edge. This appears to be an abhishekam ritual performed before a statue.2011-02-18 +1 copiesOctober 07 20112011-10-07 +1 copiesPhoto 11684218A three-panel collage of Bidadi temple and ashram scenes. Top left: a man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged in meditation beside a stone base with garland-draped deity murti in the background. Top right: a man in white clothes sits before a fire pit with flames, with a second man in white seated nearby. Bottom: several people in white clothing sit and stand on a courtyard near a small temple structure and palm trees. The collage is graphic; the pictured people are not counted as physical people here.2010-07-152010 - Photo Album
