April 14 20182018-04-14December 12 20162016-12-12Two ceremonial kalasha pots topped with coconuts and mango leaves are heavily garlanded with yellow marigolds, red roses and white jasmine, with blue and gold beaded ornaments. They sit on a red cloth in a temple setting, with trays of offerings and flower petals nearby. Behind them, a priest in a green-bordered dhoti and a few other people are partly visible, along with decorated pillars and a camera crew at the edge. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam preparation.2018-04-14October 18 20152015-10-18January 08 20122012-01-08A close-up photograph of a ceremonial offering arrangement on a wooden tray. Three clear glass vessels with lattice-patterned sides hold water, with a mango leaf and a yellow-brown coconut-like object at the top. Yellow chrysanthemums, red roses and pink flowers are strung around the arrangement, draped with white cloth edged with a thin pink stripe. Green leaves and a dried grass stalk are visible at the sides. Out-of-focus warm lights glow in the dark background. No people are visible.2016-12-12October 18 20152015-10-18Three kalasha pots are arranged side by side, each capped with a coconut, draped in cloth and wrapped in garlands of yellow marigolds, red roses and white jasmine. The central coconut bears a small face-like painted or carved design and a gold-and-red decorative ornament. Their wrapped saris are golden-purple and pink. Two flanking pots have green leaves, and the background shows blurred garlands and seated figures in white. No people are clearly in focus.2015-07-13A close view of rows of decorated ritual pots arranged on colourful cloths. Each pot is a coconut with its husk, fitted with a woven green, blue or orange cane cover and topped with bright yellow marigold flowers, green leaves and red flower accents. Yellow marigold garlands lie across pink, purple, green and blue fabrics, with a bunch of bananas on the right. No people are visible; the arrangement suggests offerings prepared for a ritual.2015-01-12 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14 +3 copiesClose-up photo of two decorated kalasha pots for ritual worship.
