Night-time outdoor ritual on a paved courtyard under a corrugated roof, with string lights and a bright floodlight above. On the left, a seated figure in saffron/orange robes with a red-and-gold shawl and flower garland sits on an ornate gold throne, hands folded. In the centre, a standing person in an orange robe with a pink-striped border gestures with both arms toward a line of people in white dhotis and white shirts, some wearing red-and-saffron sashes, who stand with hands folded in prayer. A young child in white holds a brass oil lamp with a flame, and a framed deity murti or painting stands in the background among palm fronds. Devotees in white and saffron line the courtyard, with smoke or incense rising near the lamp.

A tall decorated kalasha stands in the background, with bright floodlights and strings of lights overhead and palm and banana plants around the courtyard.

A man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a long rudraksha mala raises a leafy green kalasha-like vessel with a leaf-topped rim, his arm extended upward, while a bowl sits below. Around him, dozens of devotees stand with palms pressed together in namaskar; many women wear orange, red and white saris and beaded malas. Flower petals, marigold garlands and small oil lamps lie on the mats. Tropical trees surround the open-sided pavilion.
