A crowd of women, girls and men gathers in a street in front of a large orange-and-blue poster with Tamil text and two portrait photographs, one of a smiling man in an orange turban and one of a woman with long hair and a white garment with a rudraksha-style mala. Orange triangular bunting hangs above the poster. Several women wear teal, orange and purple saris, with gold necklaces and braided hair, and a small child is held up at the centre. Some people face the poster with hands folded in reverence. A man in a white shirt stands at the right edge, and an orange cloth hangs on a shop stall at the left.
