Close-up photo of a hand gripping a thick orange-gold braided rope that supports a tall saffron-orange cloth banner. Dry, pale brown palm fronds or grass strands hang loosely from the top of the pole at left. The wrist wears beaded reddish-brown rudraksha-style bracelets. The background is a plain pale grey sky. Only a hand and forearm are visible, so no face or full figure can be seen.

A close photograph of a ritual object held aloft against a pale sky with a blurred palm frond at upper right. A hand grips orange rope strands that run up to a wooden crossbar bound with dried straw, dried leaves, a red ribbon and a dark beaded cord. Dried fibrous fronds hang down, with a red cloth draped below. Only a hand and the object are visible.

Outdoor photograph of a bare-chested man with long dark hair pulling a rope beside a tall copper temple flagpole (dvajastambha) wrapped with straw bundles at its top, garlanded with yellow flowers at its base. He wears an orange-saffron cloth draped over his shoulder with gold edging and several red beaded wrist bands. Palm trees and a pale sky form the background, and a blurred yellow and red cloth is at the lower left edge.

A photograph looking up at a tall copper-banded pole against a pale sky. Near the top, a bundle wrapped in red and white cloth is tied with orange rope and hung with green leaves and a sheaf of dried grass, suspended from a thin orange cord. No people are visible in the frame.

A photograph taken looking upward against a pale blue sky at a tall, ornately carved golden-brown wooden pole topped by a flat, scalloped wooden crossbar with a square base. Green leaves and red and white cloth strips are tied near the top, with thin ropes running down along the pole. No people are visible in the frame.

A man in an orange saffron wrap with a bare upper body pulls on an orange and white rope, looking upward toward the top of a tall ceremonial structure. He wears white and red flower garlands across his chest, multiple gold bangles on his wrists and arms, and has a white marking on his forehead. Beside him stands a carved reddish-brown wooden temple-style pillar or chariot-like structure topped with a thatched cone of dried straw and draped with yellow marigold garlands, with a small carved figure visible at its base. Green palm fronds and blurred trees fill the background under an overcast sky.

Close photograph of a man's cupped right hand holding a small bundle of green grass or kusha blades, with a silver spoon or ladle entering from the upper right to pour a liquid. He wears a red-and-orange sacred thread on the wrist and a dark rudraksha mala with large brown beads; the saffron-orange cloth of a sannyasi covers the background. The focus is on the ritual pouring.
