In the foreground a man in white dhoti and shawl with gold-bordered trim, hands folded in namaste, sits before a microphone on a striped mat. Beside a brick fire pit, several priests in saffron and orange robes with rudraksha malas and folded hands perform the ritual. A golden ornate palanquin or peetha with a pink and gold cloth stands at left, with brass kalasha pots and marigold garlands. Two white-clad devotees sit at the fire pit, and a woman in a dark saree stands near the pit.2011-11-10October 17 20122012-10-17January 03 20152015-01-03Night-time outdoor ritual on a wooden platform under a canopy decorated with pink, blue and yellow bunting and green leaves. A standing priest in orange-red dhoti with a gold-toned body and rudraksha beads holds a silver bowl. Beside him, a seated figure in orange robes and a beaded mala joins hands in prayer. Two men in white dhotis with sacred threads sit to the left, and a few more people stand in the background. In front lie brass vessels, silver ritual implements, a conch-shaped tray, fruits, black berries and a small oil lamp, with a decorated deity murti at right garlanded with white flowers.
