A photograph of a seated man in a red-orange dhoti-style wrap with a gold-bordered edge and a long rudraksha mala, his bare upper body visible, his dark hair swept back into a bun. He places his right hand on the crown of a young boy's head, blessing him. The boy wears a cream kurta with a gold-brown patterned print and stands with his hands pressed to his chest. Behind them is a large framed photograph of a green tree, a brass lamp stand and a potted plant, with a dark curtain at left. The man has distinctive long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and saffron-orange ornate clothing, consistent with the probable identity cues for a person in a blessing role.2011-09-04 +1 copiesA photograph of a standing man in a red and gold-bordered robe with a long rudraksha mala around his neck and dark hair tied in a bun, placing his right hand on the head of a young boy in a white polo shirt with blue stripes. The boy stands with palms pressed together and eyes closed in prayer, holding a small red item. The man holds a folded paper in his left hand. He has hair tied in a bun, a white vertical tilak on his forehead, and is smiling as he places his right hand on the head of a boy. The boy, in a turquoise t-shirt with a rudraksha mala, has his palms pressed together in namaste and eyes lowered. Behind them a woman in an orange saree and another person in blue stand in a plain room. The man has distinctive long rudraksha and gold adornments and an orange wrap, consistent with the page reference to a person, so this is a probable identification of the seated man, who is blessing the boy.2012-10-11A photograph of a ritual blessing.
