A photograph of a ceremonial meal in a plain whitewashed hall with a tiled floor. Rows of people sit cross-legged on orange and purple mats, mostly men in white dhoti-style clothing with saffron and gold borders and some with white shirts. Women in white sarees with yellow, green and gold borders sit in a row on the left. Before them are green banana leaves set with small portions of food and steel cups of water. Several people in white garments stand in the background carrying vessels and steel pots, serving the seated group. A white-haired and shaven-headed man with a tilak sits at right. A white ceiling fan and a metal sink fixture are visible at the top right.

A indoor corridor with pink walls and barred windows shows a line of women in white saris with gold borders, many holding small white cups and drinking. One woman at right in a yellow-bordered white sari carries a woven basket of food, and another at left wears an orange blouse and a red-orange shawl. Several wear necklaces and bangles, and some have tilak marks on their foreheads. The scene appears to be a serving or refreshment line during a community gathering.

A young woman in the foreground holds a bowl of yellow sweets. A cameraman with a video camera sits at left in white and yellow. At the top right, a seated woman wears a yellow shawl. A person in orange robes sits in the background.

Indoor photo of a meal service in a tiled hall with white walls and a barred window. A smiling man in white shirt and white dhoti carries a steel plate toward the viewer. Around him, devotees in white clothes serve food from steel vessels on a counter; a woman in a red sari stands at left near a small altar with a saffron cloth, a kalasha-like brass vessel and flowers. Several men and women in white shirts, white dhotis and white sarees move among tables. The setting suggests an annadan meal service.

A photograph taken under a open-sided thatched shelter with a metal frame. A microphone stands in the lower right corner, and a small table with a basket and bowls sits at the right edge.
