He wears a thin sacred thread and a face mask and bends over the lingam with his right hand on the pot. Behind him stands a large deity murti with a tall crown, a fabric backdrop and garlands of white and orange flowers, with a framed picture on the dark wall above. The setting suggests a Shivaratri abhishekam.2021-03-11A shaved-headed priest bare-chested with a white dhoti wrap stands at left, holding a lit oil lamp aloft toward a shrine. Behind him stands a black stone deity murti with a tall crown, garlanded with orange and white flowers, and a second pair of figures in a red and green dress on a red-draped throne. A smaller brass figure sits in front, decorated with garlands, bead necklaces and a red cloth, and a brass kalasha stands at the base. Tall decorative pillars in red, teal and gold frame the scene against a deep red curtain, with a small framed portrait hung above.2022-02-18A bare-chested priest in white dhoti with a gold border stands barefoot at a black stone Shivalinga on a black yoni-peetha base, pouring water from a brass pot held in his right hand. Behind the linga, a shrine holds dark stone deity murtis garlanded with white flowers: a figure in a red and gold dress with a tall crown, and a figure with a crown and trident-like emblem. The shrine is draped in teal cloth edged with gold trim. The man has a tattoo on his upper left arm and a tied topknot, shown in abhishekam. The scene is a temple shrine ritual.2021-06-27Photo 82845652022-05-08 +1 copiesKAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 1/16/20222022-01-16KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 11/29/20202020-11-29KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 3/6/20192019-03-06 +1 copiesKAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 7/17/20222022-07-17 +5 copiesA bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a white sash stands at the left, holding up a lit oil lamp (aarti) toward a shrine.
