Blurred blue lights glow at the right edge. No people are visible. The scene suggests Karthigai Deepam lamps hung in a temple hall.2016-12-12A two-panel graphic comparing hanging oil lamps. The upper panel shows tarnished brass hanging lamps with chain-and-hook fittings against a pale wall. The lower panel shows red-painted hanging oil lamps with lit wicks, suspended from chains against a dark blue background. No people are visible.Several rudraksha and bead malas rest draped over a grey granite rock against a dark, blurred background. The malas combine dark brown-orange rudraksha seeds with pearl-like white beads, translucent amber-yellow beads, deep purple beads and red carnelian beads, with small silver spacers. No people or deity forms are visible; the rock is the focal point and the beads catch light across the strands.2011-09-10September 10 20112011-09-10
