Around him, a bare-chested man in a white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and a gold necklace gestures toward him. Two women in saris, one in blue with gold border and one in deep blue, stand at right, one wearing a pink-and-magenta flower garland. A man in white and a bare-backed man in a yellow shawl hold a tray of flowers and offerings at left.2010-01-10September 15 20092009-09-15A photograph of an outdoor courtyard with a corrugated tin roof and a plain beige wall behind. A woman in saffron-orange robes with a long pink flower garland and white jasmine strands stands at centre, smiling and bowing slightly with a rudraksha-style bead necklace visible. Around her, men in white shirts and dhotis and a man in a striped shirt stand watching; one man in white kneels at the lower centre, and a man at right in a white shirt holds a brass tray with a potted plant and a small dish. A figure in orange at left faces away. Several onlookers stand in the background.2009-09-15A smiling man in saffron-orange robes and a long red-pink rose garland holds a small brass dish of yellow and orange flowers toward a bowing older man in white. Behind them, a woman in a pale blue sari with a flower-patterned border smiles beside a young man in a striped white shirt. On the left, a man with long hair wears a white dhoti and an orange shawl. A partially visible saffron-clad figure stands at the back. The setting is a pillared veranda with pink tiles and a trellis of green vines.2010-02-15Outdoor photograph at a building entrance beside a silver car, with leafy trees behind. A man in orange robes with long dark hair stands centre, palms pressed together in greeting, smiling, and wears a rudraksha-style necklace. A man in white dhoti with a yellow-and-red sash holds a brass tray of flowers and offerings. Beside him stands a man in white dhoti with a bare upper body and beaded necklaces, gesturing with an open hand. At right, a woman in a blue sari holds a pink flower garland, and a bare-chested older man in white dhoti stands with palms joined. Another white-clad man stands at left. Marigold and pink flower decorations fill the scene.2010-01-10Outdoor photo on a dirt path beside a blank white signboard frame and palm trees. A central figure with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange saffron robe, a multi-strand ceremonial garland of white and gold beads, and a long garland of yellow and pink flowers, and walks barefoot. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts with rudraksha malas walk and fold hands in greeting. A woman in orange sari stands behind on the right, and a parked silver SUV appears in the background. The centre figure shows distinctive long hair, saffron robe and garlands, consistent with a person candidate, though the appearance is not certain.2010-01-22Outdoor photo at an ashram-style gathering on a dirt ground. A figure in a saffron/orange turban, saffron robe and a long red-and-white flower garland is greeting an older man in white dhoti and shirt, who clasps the saffron-robed figure's hand while holding a brass vessel with green leaves. Behind them, a man in white shirt and a woman in a beige sari stand near a silver car, and an orange-and-blue draped pavilion with cars is visible. Another man in white with a yellow shawl stands at the left edge. Swamiji (probable): the saffron-robed figure wears a turban, a long flower garland and saffron robes, which are distinctive ceremonial cues for a sannyasi receiving a welcome.2010-02-17Outdoor photo at a building entrance with a yellow metal gate on the left and a white car behind. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe, stands with palms pressed together in greeting at the centre. Devotees surround him: a bare-chested man in white dhoti holds a brass plate of flowers and offerings, a man in white dhoti and shirt stands beside a woman in a blue sari, and a woman in a blue sari holds a long pink flower garland. An older woman with grey curly hair on the right has hands folded in greeting. Trees and a white multi-storey building form the background.2010-01-10A photograph of a smiling man in a rust-orange and gold dhoti-style garment stepping out beside a white car, wearing a long red and white flower garland, a gold ornate necklace with rudraksha beads, gold armlets and a white tilak on his forehead. Several men in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas stand around him. A man in white clothes and an orange shawl holds a brass plate with a kalasha-style pot topped with a coconut and flowers, and a devotee in white bends forward to greet him with folded hands. The setting is a courtyard with yellow walls and palms. The man at the centre has long swept-back hair and ornate gold adornments, which is a probable appearance-based match for a person being received with pada puja honours; the printed caption on the image is copyright only.2014-06-21 +1 copies
