Men in white dhotis and shirts play drums, including a red-and-white hand drum and a tall barrel drum, while a man in an orange dhoti and gold-bordered yellow cloth carries an ornate deity murti in a silver-framed palanquin-style frame. A man in a white shirt with a yellow dhoti plays a horn or conch-like instrument. Women in white saris and a man in a green wrap follow behind, some with hands folded. Orange triangular flags hang from the ceiling with maroon emblems, alongside colourful woven panels and leaf garlands, and a lit doorway glows at the far end.2007-12-23A procession outside a temple with a red-curtained shrine and white walls. In the foreground, a man in white dhoti and shirt with a vertical tilak plays a long brass horn (nadaswaram-style), with another horn player beside him. Two drummers in white dhotis and cream shirts carry dhol drums with red and gold woven covers, one with a gold border. Behind them, several men in saffron-orange robes wear rudraksha malas and marigold garlands. Potted plants and a banana tree frame the path.
