Outdoor photo beside a blue-and-white bus with its front window showing the Kannada word for bus stop text partly visible. A large crowd gathers around a figure with long, swept-back dark hair wearing a saffron-orange shawl over a pink-and-orange garland; the figure's hands are pressed together in a greeting. Around them, devotees in white dhotis and white kurtas, some wearing rudraksha malas, stand with hands folded; women wear white and cream saris. A bare-chested man with a shaved head stands at left. Green trees and bushes form the background.2008-01-02A crowd of devotees gathers on a roadside beside a white and blue bus with the windscreen showing luggage and bags inside, under leafy green trees. Many people wear white dhotis and shirts, while several women wear orange or saffron saris and orange shawls. Some hold rudraksha-style garlands and gold necklaces, and people in the foreground face the bus with their backs to the camera. Figures in the centre-right wear white with orange shawls and stand close together, apparently boarding or assisting near the bus door. The scene looks like a pilgrimage departure on a road.2008-01-02January 02 20082008-01-02January 02 20082008-01-02January 18 20092009-01-18August 01 2009 - Kalpataru, Thiruvanaikaval, India2009-08-01Outdoor street scene beside a white van with blue stripes. A long-haired figure in saffron robes and a white-and-red flower garland stands at the centre, smiling, with a small red tilak on the forehead. Beside them a shaved-headed attendant in orange robes steadies the van door. Men in white shirts and white dhotis crowd around, reaching out to touch the robed figure. A billboard with faded portraits stands in the background against a blue sky with a utility pole. The robed figure's long hair, saffron garb, garland and tilak are appearance cues consistent with the page's reference to a person, so this is a probable identification from appearance only.2009-08-08August 08 20092009-08-08July 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copiesJuly 30 20082008-07-30 +1 copiesA photo of a saffron-robed sannyasi in an orange turban and orange shawl, wearing a long black rudraksha mala, standing in the open doorway of a white van with blue stripes and smiling.
