A photograph of a large, leafy banyan-type tree with thick aerial roots dominating the frame against a pale sky. Beneath it, a pink-walled compound has a concrete platform where a man in white lies prostrate with head near the trunk, while other men in white dhotis and shirts stand and bend nearby on the grass. A white bus with lettering sits at the right edge. A date stamp reads 20-10-2006 along the left side. The scene suggests a devotional visit at a temple precinct.2006-10-20A photograph of a large leafy tree dominating the frame, with a crowd of villagers gathered beneath and around its trunk in an open dusty courtyard. Several people in white dhotis and checked lungis stand near parked bicycles and a motorcycle, while a few figures in saffron-orange and yellow robes move among them near a pink building with red pillars. A child in orange clothing stands at the left, and a woman in a sari is visible at the right edge. Nearby a wooden stand or bench is set up beside a small ritual group. The scene reads as a village gathering at a temple-adjacent site.2006-10-20Outdoor photo beneath a large spreading tree at a roadside gathering. Many people stand and sit on gravel and a low earthen mound in the shade, with several white minibuses and a bus parked behind. Several men wear white shirts and trousers, one wears a white kurta, and a few wear saffron or orange robes and orange head cloths. Women wear salwar kameez in pink, blue and yellow. A few sit on mats or the ground with bottles beside them. Lanyards hang from some necks. Several more people are visible in the background near the vehicles.2008-06-09Outdoor photo beneath a massive old banyan tree with many thick hanging aerial roots and sprawling branches. A crowd of roughly two dozen devotees stands and walks on bare dusty ground. Many wear white dhotis and white saris, while women in red, green and patterned saris are also present. At the right edge, a dark stone or metal deity murti draped in orange cloth sits on a red stone base beside a tall pillar. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands near the murti, and a boy in a light shirt stands in the middle distance. Nobody in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person; the seated figure is a murti wrapped in orange cloth.2007-05-04February 27 20162016-02-27 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and sprawling branches. Many children wear casual clothes in pink, blue, yellow plaid, and white, while several adults in white kurtas and cream or white attire stand among them, and a woman in a sari with a patterned border stands at right. A white-clad figure in the centre raises a hand near the head as if addressing the group. A striped red-and-white cloth fence runs along the right edge, and a faint circular logo appears at the upper left. The scene suggests a camp gathering in the open air at the time of day when light is soft.2006-05-03A large, broad-canopied old tree dominates an open grassy field under a pale blue sky. Its thick trunk and spreading branches with dense green leaves rise above the scene, with overhead power lines crossing the upper frame. To the left, a blue-and-white bus and a white van are parked near a crowd of small figures, and to the right a row of low roadside shops with corrugated roofs lines the edge. A dirt path winds through the grass in the foreground, and scattered rubble and a purple flower appear at the bottom left.2008-05-04February 27 20162016-02-27 +1 copies
