Night photograph of the facade of Sri Sringeri Sivaganga Mutt and Sri Saradambal Temple, with a red-and-white striped wall, illuminated doorways and a lit signboard reading Sri Sringeri Sivaganga Mutt. Small painted deity figures sit on the roof parapet above the entrance. Several people stand near the open doors, some holding papers, including a woman in a pink sari and one in an orange sari, with children nearby. Motorcycles are parked in the foreground and an orange triangular flag is visible at right. A tree canopy frames the top of the image.

Night photograph at the entrance of a Tamil temple, the Thiruvenaiswarar temple in Pondicherry, under a yellow and red banner decorated with painted deity images and flower garlands. Two women stand in the foreground: the left wears a purple sari and glasses, the right a lavender and cream sari. Several men in white shirts and dhotis stand and walk among other visitors in the lit courtyard beyond the arch. No one in the scene is identifiable as a person; the scene shows a temple gate with devotees.

A close photograph of a weathered wooden signboard mounted on a dark, peeling wall of a temple. The board has a deep red and gold background with a shivalinga illustration on the left and a small gilded deity shrine image on the right. The text identifies the shrine as Sri Marakathavalli Mukteeswarar Thirukkoyil, under the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple. No people are visible; the sign is the sole subject.

The tiered tower is painted in red, cream and green with sculpted deity and figure panels and lion-like pillar brackets. A dark sign band across the top reads in Tamil with the temple name Arulmigu Subramaniyaswami Thirukkoyil. Below the arch a small signboard and a vehicle with a tarpaulin roof are visible at the bottom edge. No people are clearly visible.

Night photograph of a crowd gathered outside a Tamil temple entrance beneath a yellow-orange banner. The banner shows printed deity images with flower decorations and Tamil script naming the Tiruvenneeswarar temple. Many devotees stand close together, mostly men in white dhotis and shirts, along with women in saris, including a woman in a pale green sari and a woman in a brown patterned sari holding a plastic bag. A man in a blue shirt stands in front. Bamboo poles and a white cloth barrier frame the entrance. No clearly identifiable a person figure is visible in the scene.

Night photograph of a temple shrine with dark stone murti sculptures framed by ornate gold arches. The central figure wears a red crown and white garment with a garland of white flowers, beside a smaller figure in a green robe. A small orange-robed figure stands at the front on a dais. Flanking shrines hold additional murtis decorated with marigold garlands, and potted palms sit at the corners. On the altar table below are a brass bowl, oil lamps and a white cloth. Red and white striped plinths surround the shrines. No physical people are visible.

Night photograph of a small open-sided shrine with a sloping orange-and-white roof and striped red-and-white pillars. A signboard above reads Sri Raghavendrar Alayam in Tamil. Inside the shrine, a lit lamp and a red-clothed figure are visible. Three elderly men sit on the striped steps and platform: one in an orange-and-white shirt with a dark cloth, and two bare-chested men in orange or yellow waist cloths. The area is dark outside the lit structure.
