Brass pots decorated with flowers sit in front of the murti, and a fire burns in the foreground during a homa or puja. The priest's appearance does not clearly match a distinctive identity, so he is described by role only.2021-06-20 +1 copiesA priest in a rust-red dhoti and matching shawl with gold border bends forward at a fire pit, holding a small hand drum or bell in his right hand while smoke rises from the flames. The square brick fire pit is decorated with coloured powders and sits before a golden ornate throne draped in red cloth, on which a deity murti is adorned with yellow and orange marigold garlands, gold necklaces and a crown. Behind, a second decorated deity figure stands beneath a white backdrop, flanked by saffron-and-cream triangular ceremonial banners. Silver trays with fruit and flowers are arranged on the floor, and rose petals scatter the ground.
