November 06 20162016-11-06Night-time temple ritual at a golden shrine framed by red and gold arches, with several deity murtis decorated with garlands of yellow marigolds, red flowers and green leaves. Three shirtless men in orange dhotis with gold borders stand with their backs to the camera, one with long dreadlocks, their bodies marked with white ash lines, and one holds a lit oil lamp toward the central murti. A second, smaller shrine on the right holds a gold-clad murti wearing a tall crown and jewelled garlands. Red cloth and offerings sit at the base of the platform.2016-11-06May 07 20172017-05-07December 19 20162016-12-19May 07 20172017-05-07May 07 20172017-05-07A night-time photograph of a temple abhishekam-style worship before a large deity murti decorated with dense red, yellow and white flower garlands and a red-and-gold textile backdrop. The murti wears an orange-red and gold turban-style crown, carries a trident and a sword, and is dressed in silver and gold embellished garments. Two priests stand at left and centre-left: a young priest in white ritual cloth with a gold necklace and white body markings, and a bare-chested priest with long dreadlocks, white markings on the arms and chest, gold beaded jewellery and an orange dhoti, who is gently holding and adjusting the trident and sword. Gold-framed ornate arch surrounds the shrine.2016-11-06A temple-style ritual inside a tent-covered hall with a red carpet strewn with flower petals. A bare-chested bearded man with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala, wearing an ochre-orange cloth, reaches toward a large black stone deity murti dressed in white and red garments and white-and-red flower garlands. Two attendants in orange and saffron dhotis stand at left, one holding a lit flame on a tray and the other a tray of offerings. Marigold and rose garlands drape a golden palanquin-like altar and a decorated kalasha-style setting behind them, with a banana plant and yellow floral decor framing the scene.2016-12-19May 07 20172017-05-07December 19 20162016-12-19November 29 20112011-11-29 +1 copiesMay 07 20172017-05-07
